If he had been found right after he copsed, given the distance from the Thorpes’ house to here, it’s obvious someone dyed getting him help on purpose. Plus, I’ve looked at his past medical records. He was in good health, but his blood pressure shot up suddenly over thest month. It looks like someone messed with his medicine or what he was eating. High blood pressure can really set off cerebral hemorrhages.”


    Theo implied that Jorge had been deliberately targeted.

    “I need to prepare for another surgery,” Theo mentioned, moving to offer Kaiden a reassuring pat on the shoulder but stopping short, mindful of Kaiden’s dislike for physical contact. He then exited, softly closing the door behind him.

    “Could it be… Talon and his family?” Ellie spected, recalling the peculiar look on Erick’s face when Jorge’s surgery results were discussed.

    “Jorge was in their corner before, why would they turn on him? Even if they aimed to control the Thorpe family, such a rush seems unwarranted.”


    Kaiden, unfazed, proposed to Ellie, “What if Jorge considered supporting me once more?”
