Chapter 728

    ?Chapter 728:

In the dim light, Ellie didn’t notice the blush creeping up the student’s face.

Ellie’s smile widened. “Oh, how kind of you!”

She nced at Kaiden, a yful gleam in her eyes. “Looks like someone’s about to make a romantic move. I’m eager to see how it unfolds!”

He quipped back, “Are you perhaps envious of the lucky girl?”

Before Ellie could tune into the conversation, her attention was captured by a new contestant stepping onto the stage.

Kaiden nced over Ellie’s shoulder and noticed the girl Ellie had just been talking to, excitedly tapping away on her phone. However, Kaiden decided not to inform Ellie about it.

The crowd in the chat group grew quickly, exceeding the participant limit, leading some to promptly create additional groups.

“Ahhh! Ellie just asked me if anyone was nning on dering their love. She leaned so close to me. She’s absolutely gorgeous. I was so overwhelmed, I thought I might start bleeding from my nose.”

“Nowadays, even women can’t help but admire other pretty women.”

“Who doesn’t appreciate a beautiful woman? Sometimes, women enjoy looking at other beautiful women even more than men do.”

“Ha! But really, wasn’t it adorable how Ellie asked if someone was going to confess their love? Ellie is just too charming.”

“Ellie and Mr. Thorpe seem really close to each other. Even their small interactions are incredibly sweet.”

At the backstage, Howard was approached by his roommate, who looked concerned. “Howard, are you okay?” he asked cautiously, his tone full of worry. It turned out they both were added to a group chat buzzing with conversations about Ellie and Kaiden.

Howard couldn’t help but smile, a sense of relief washing over him. “I found out about them a couple of months back.”

His roommate shook his head, disappointment in his voice. “If you knew earlier, maybeing here wouldn’t have been the best idea.” He sighed and gave Howard aforting pat on the shoulder. After sharing a room with Howard for several years, he understood better than anyone how much Ellie meant to Howard.

Through the gap in the backstage curtain, Howard caught sight of Ellie and Kaiden sitting in the prime seats of the second row.

The auditorium was filled with hundreds of spectators, but Howard’s eyes were drawn immediately to Ellie and Kaiden.

    Kaiden was truly outstanding.

Almost as if sensing Howard’s gaze, Kaiden looked up, his eyes meeting Howard’s across the distance.

His look was icy andmanding, causing Howard to quickly look away, filled with a sense of defeat.
