?Chapter 622:
Tobias asked with a grin, “I heard the ind’s butler personally invited the show’s crew. Carole, did you have a hand in this?”
Carole’s smile stiffened momentarily before she responded, “Yes. I do know the owner of this ind.”
She had learned beforehand that the ind’s owner was a no-show, likely having purchased it as an investment, which meant her lie was safe.
“So, you yed a part in this after all!” the director chimed in, clearly appreciative of Carole’s involvement. Ellie felt puzzled. What were they implying?
Was Carole being credited for everything?
Just then, a voice broke the silence.
“Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Garfield Barton, the butler here. Wee to Dreamboat Ind. We’ve arranged your amodations. Please, follow me.”
The speaker was a man in his forties, eloquent and dressed in a sharp suit, exuding the air of a true gentleman.
His gaze swept over the group, nding on Ellie with a nearly formed smile.
Ellie was caught off guard, fearing her cover might be blown, and quickly shook her head in denial.
When Garfield turned his gaze away, Ellie let out a sigh of relief. She didn’t want her wealth to be known, aiming to avoid unnecessaryplications or social entanglements.
Kristopher saw this moment, lowering his gaze and offering a smile. The show’s team had rented a few small vis on the ind’s eastern side, where the six guests were to share a luxurious three-story vi. Garfield approached the group and announced, “Miss, this will be your ce of stay. Please,e with me.”
Everyone’s eyes shifted to Carole, who had just mentioned knowing the owner of the ind.

“People close to the ind owner sure receive special treatment!” someone remarked with a hint of jealousy. Caught off guard, Carole paused for a moment.
She didn’t know Garfield, but perhaps the owner had indeed befriended the Lambert family!
With a smile, Carole moved forward, saying, “That’s very kind of you…”
“Miss Gordon, Miss Curtis, the first suite on the east side offers the best sunrise view. Would you like it?” Garfield stood before Ellie, extending the invitation with respect.
Carole’s smile froze, and her voice cut off mid-sentence.
Garfield was speaking to Ellie?
Wasn’t it Carole?
The surprise left everyone speechless.
“Mr. Barton, could there be a mistake? Carole is the friend of your ind’s owner. Ellie…” Darrell interjected, worry in his voice.
“Miss Gordon is an esteemed guest on the ind. We decided to work with the show because she’s here,” Garfield exined. ncing at Carole, he continued, “As for thisdy, I’m not acquainted with her.”
