    The shower sprayed from the showerhead, filling the space with mist. “Still distracted?” Kaiden discontentedly nibbled Ellie’s shoulder.


    Ellie jolted back to the present, her gaze shifting to her shoulder in rm, but the bite mark was not visible on her fair skin. He hadn’t bitten her hard enough to leave a mark.


    Kaiden kissed the spot he had just bitten and nced back at her, his eyes filled with desire.


    “Mrs. Thorpe, you’re bluffing me, aren’t you?”


    “About what?”


    After all this time, he knew every inch of her body. Ellie trembled slightly with arousal, her voice unsteady. She was finding it hard to stay on her feet.


    Kaiden’s strong arms gripped her waist and lifted her against him.


    “It hurts,” she whispered.


    “Hmm? You say it hurts, but you’re not even trying to fight me. Stop lying to me,” Kaiden growled softly.


    “I’m not deceiving you!”


    Ellie bit her lip, not understanding how he could say such a thing with such confidence.


    “Shall we stay in the bathroom or go back to bed?” Kaiden offered her the choice.


    “Bed.”


    Carrying her like a child, he let her legs wrap around his waist.


    “Baby, you can’t deceive me tonight,” he said with a smoldering gaze. “If you want me to go easy on you, call me ‘honey.’”


    Ellie immediately understood what he meant by saying she couldn’t deceive him. But calling him “honey” was utterly useless—if anything, it only excited him more.


    When she woke up the next day, red marks covered her fair skin. Her neck, corbones, shoulders, waist, back… even her wrists were not spared. No amount of clothing or concealer could hide them.
