?Chapter 557:
The scene shifted as the mood in the office suddenly changed. Clothes tumbled to the floor, and a seductive energy filled the air, disrupting the usual seriousness of the environment.
“Kaiden, have youpletely lost your mind? This is yourpany! We’re in an office!” Ellie eximed.
She instantly regretted making things so clear.
Perhaps pretending to be clueless might have kept the “beast” before her from taking advantage of the situation! “As you said, it’s mypany.”
He kissed her, entuating the word “my.”
Who else but the boss could wee someone into his private space without asking?
At that moment, Ellie realized something about him. He was chasing excitement! He did this on purpose!
Just as the thought crossed her mind, Kaiden’s phone rang.
Ellie nced over and saw Jerome’s name shing on the screen.
“Mr. Howell is calling for you!” Ellie said, urgencycing her voice. Kaiden clicked his tongue in irritation but held her close as he answered the call with one hand. With her so near, Ellie could clearly hear their conversation.
“Kaiden, everyone knows you’re married now, and they’re wondering why they weren’t invited to the wedding celebration!” Jerome’s voice was full of expectation, as if he was looking for a reason to gather everyone together.
“I don’t know everyone,” Kaiden said, shrugging it off.
“Okay! Mr. Howell, since it’se up, why not do it tonight?” Ellie leaned in closer to the speaker and suggested.
Jerome’s mood lifted at hearing Ellie. “Ellie, you’re there with Kaiden? Perfect, I’ll take care of it. Let’s make it a celebration for you both!” He hung up, already eager to organize the event.

Ellie nced at Kaiden, catching the expression on his face that practically screamed, “Celebrate, my ass.”
But once the idea was out there, Kaiden couldn’t retract it.
This was the first time he was escorting Ellie as Mrs. Thorpe since their rtionship became public in their social circle. He couldn’t let anyone belittle her.
They decided on Heart Ind for the venue, booking the entire second floor of the clubhouse.
Ellie and Kaiden arrived fashionablyte.
Approaching the hall’s entrance, they noticed a considerable number of people already inside.
“All these guests?” Kaiden said, his brow slightly furrowed.
Jerome, feeling a bit uneasy, replied, “I didn’t mean to invite so many. But when they imed to be Ellie’s old friends, how could I say no?”
