Chapter 512

    ?Chapter 512:

“Should we find another location, then?” Kaiden responded nonchntly, his thumb brushing away the trace of their kiss from the corner of Ellie’s mouth, unaffected by the setting.

He had observed several couples engaging in passionate exchanges just outside for the past two nights.

The seclusion offered by the nearby bushes made them less visible to onlookers.

Seizing the moment to distance herself, Ellie’s eyes burned with indignation.

Taking a deep breath topose herself, she dered, “If you’re more interested in mocking me than discussing our divorce, then there’s nothing left for us to talk about, Kaiden!”

With that, Ellie turned and walked away, leaving Kaiden behind.

Marvin had already left, and Baylee waited for Ellie nearby.

As Ellie approached, Baylee subtly gestured toward the convenience store, revealing that Ellie had inadvertently chosen a spot right between the checkout counter and arge tree for their confrontation. The cashier, witnessing Ellie’s approach, mped a hand over her mouth to stifle a scream, clearly shocked.

Overwhelmed with embarrassment, Ellie covered her face. Then, apanied by Baylee, she ventured into the convenience store to purchase sandwiches.

As Ellie paid, the cashier couldn’t contain her excitement. “Don’t worry, I didn’t see a thing! I won’t tell a soul! The man who brought you milk teast night was the one who kissed you just now. Your boyfriend is so handsome!”

Ellie was left speechless by the cashier’s contradictory assurance.

Didn’t she say she saw nothing?

Baylee wanted to prepare for her role as an auctioneer at the uing prestigious painting auction, so she borrowed a meeting room at the school to practice.

Ellie, sticking to her routine, headed to the library to study.

Not long after settling down, a cup of coffee appeared beside her hand.

“Ellie.” Howard greeted her in a hushed tone and took a seat diagonally opposite her.

Conversations weren’t suitable in the library, so Ellie sent a WhatsApp message to Howard. “Thank you for the coffee. You don’t have to bring it to me next time. It’s such a hassle.”

Howard replied, “It’s no hassle. You don’t need to be so formal with me.” After responding to the message, Howard set his phone aside and focused on his book.

Ellie refrained from discussing the matter further, not wanting to interrupt his reading.

While contemting the coffee in front of her, Ellie couldn’t help but sense that Howard was treating her differently.

Before she could fully process this, a slightmotion arose around her.

A man in a white shirt and a khaki windbreaker entered. Even without the suit, he exuded an air of someone about to make financial headlines.

Kaiden approached a seat opposite Ellie and asked the woman sitting there, “Could you please switch seats with me?”
