He corrected her firmly, “If you see me as your brother, then Ellie is your sister-inw. You should address her as ‘Mrs. Thorpe’.”
Carole resisted, her emotions spilling over. “No, I can’t…”
The idea of showing respect to someone she viewed as a rival in love repulsed her.
Kaiden’s tone hardened. “Follow my instructions, lest you forget who Ellie really is to me.”
Carole, amidst her tears, acquiesced. “Kaiden, it won’t happen again.”
Before Carole could utter another word, he was gone from the lounge. She found herself copsing to the floor, overwhelmed by a sense of despair. Why did things have to take such a dire turn?
Jerome approached Kaiden with a phone in hand. “Look! I’ve set up a new Twitter ount for you,” he announced, offering the device to Kaiden, who nodded his thanks and began to navigate the unfamiliar digitalndscape with a hint of reluctance.
The bright colors and myriad icons on the screen made Kaiden furrow his brow in confusion.
Jerome, sensing an opportunity, encouraged him, “Kaiden, the inte can be quite the resource. Why not explore a bit?”
As Jerome showed him how to post online, Kaiden responded with ack of enthusiasm, “I’m not really interested.”
But when Jerome mentioned that Ellie had be a topic of conversation on Twitter, Kaiden’s attention sharpened, and he paused, fingers hovering over the keyboard.
Jerome watched, convinced that this might spark Kaiden’s interest in the tform.
When he refreshed the page, a new post appeared, clear and direct: “Kaiden Thorpe: ‘I am married. My wife’s surname is Gordon.''”
Jerome couldn’t hide his smile, believing this straightforward deration might just make Kaiden a more engaged participant in the digital world.

Today marked Ellie’s second lecture at Critport University. The ssroom was again packed with students.
When Ellie entered the room, she found that the students were chatting excitedly.
She didn’t pay much attention to it until a student approached her and asked, “Miss Gordon, can I see your hands?”
Confused, Ellie raised her hands.
“s, she doesn’t have it!” The student was disappointed.
“I don’t have what?” asked Ellie, creasing her brow.
“The ring! The CEO of GT Group officially deredst night that he is married. He said that his wife’s surname is Gordon, and your surname happens to be the same, right? But you don’t have a wedding ring on your finger, so it’s not you.”
“What… official announcement?” Ellie was flummoxed.
“Haven’t you checked Twitter?”
Last night, after watching Carole’s livestream, Ellie had tossed her phone aside in disgust. Baylee was busy preparing for the auction, so neither of them checked Twitter.
