Chapter 441

    ?Chapter 441:

“Where is she?” Kaiden asked Jorge coldly.

Jorge knew that he was talking about Brisa.

Still scowling, he signaled at the butler to take them to her.

Jorge had enough sense left in him to know when to step back. If he pushed any further, Kaiden would only cause an even bigger scene and ruin the birthday party.

“Oh my, Carole!” Edwin sighed. “Why don’t you focus on the game a little more? You keep losing!”

The distress in his voice was genuine—he felt a little lonely now that Ellie was no longer in the hall.

Carole gaped at him in disbelief. What kind of socialite would know how to ce dice in the first ce?

When she noticed that Ellie and Kaiden were headed to the second floor, she instantly jumped to her feet. “I’m going to the bathroom. Please enjoy yourselves.”

Carole didn’t give them a chance to stop her and chased after the couple.

But just as she stepped onto the second-floornding, she was promptly stopped by the bodyguards stationed there.

“My name is Carole Lambert,” she dered. “I know the woman in the VIP lounge.”

One of the bodyguards eyed her suspiciously before calling Jorge to check if she had permission to enter.

Brisa’s existence was a secret to the public, even to the distant members of the Thorpe family. Only a few trusted people knew about her, and Carole happened to be one of them.

Inside the VIP lounge, d in a deep purple dress, Brisa was sitting straight on the sofa, staring at the TV on the wall. The screen disyed a shot of the first floor, with the camera zooming in on Jorge’s figure.

Once again, Ellie found Brisa’s obsession with Jorge extremely worrying. He was the only one who could soothe Brisa’s erratic mood swings, although her memory was still a mess.

“Hello, Brisa. How have you been these days?”

It wasn’t until Ellie spoke that Brisa realized someone else was in the room.

“Ellie!” Brisa eximed in delight as she rushed over and sped Ellie’s hand. “I’ve missed you so much.”

She then nced at Kaiden and deliberately rolled her eyes. “Who might this be? Why does he look like my son?”

Brisa was already over fifty years old, but she was still childish in some aspects.

“He is your son,” Ellie replied, catering to her teasing.

Brisa was highly amused by this.

Kaiden, on the other hand, didn’t say a word. He let them continue with their talk as if he were made of air.

After a while, they heard a knock on the door.

Before anyone could say or do anything, the neer directly opened the door and walked inside.

“Oh, I’m so sorry! I had no idea you were here, so I just walked in…” Carole acted all surprised and apologetic before turning to Brisa. “Good evening, Brisa. I saw a beautiful dress the other day and thought it would suit you perfectly, so I bought it for you.”
