?Chapter 411:
“Miss Gordon, mywyer will handle the negotiations regarding the breach of contractpensation. This is not something a stylist like you should concern yourself with,” Carole replied.
She skillfully dodged Ellie’s question, firmly refusing to give Ellie any leverage over her.
While her words seemed polite on the surface, both Carole and Ellie knew exactly why Carole had done what she did.
“Miss Lambert, by targeting me, you’ve chosen to alienate a top luxury brand. I’m honored by the value you ce in me!” Ellie’s expression remained cold.
She had initially admired Carole’s talent, but she could never align herself with someone who didn’t value her career and aspirations.
“Miss Gordon, I don’t understand what you’re implying,” Carole murmured softly, still clinging to the pretense that she hadn’t done anything wrong.
She was certain that she hadn’t alienated Light. She was talented, and everyone knew it. Sooner orter, Light would actively seek to mend their rtionship. Besides, by making this move, she would ensure that both Light and other brands would see Ellie as someone to avoid.
Carole continued, “Additionally, Quincy is aware of the incident with Aphrodite. I hope you will behave appropriately and not cause trouble for Kaiden because of your personal issues.”
“How does it concern you if I cause trouble for my man?” Ellie shot back.
Carole was taken aback by Ellie’s use of the term “my man” and was about to respond when Ellie abruptly ended the call.
Kaiden and Carole had recently visited the cemetery to honor Leo’s memory. They had just returned when Kaiden received a call from thepany and had to leave. Shortly after, Carole received the call from Ellie.
In that moment, Carole was livid, but she foundfort in the fact that Ellie’s downfall wasing soon.
The mess at Light’s show was something Ellie wouldn’t be able to clean up.

“Miss Lambert, the master wishes to see you,” a servant from the Thorpe family mansion said politely as he approached Carole.
“Alright, please lead the way,” Carole replied quickly, posing herself before following the servant to the study.
Jorge was sitting in the study, leisurely sipping his tea.
“Good day, Mr. Thorpe,” Carole greeted him with respect.
Jorge nodded, signaling for Carole to sit.
Carole smiled but declined, saying, “I’ll stand, Mr. Thorpe. Please, speak your mind.”
She used this tactic to create distance between herself and Jorge, signaling that she was aligned with Kaiden.
Carole was well aware of the internal divisions within the Thorpe family.
Jorge wasn’t bothered by Carole’s rudeness. In fact, he needed a woman who would be determined enough to win over Kaiden. The more she loved Kaiden, the better.
“Carole, do you want to be Kaiden’s wife?” Jorge asked, his voice low but deliberate.
Carole froze, her eyes widening in shock.
