?Chapter 384:
Kaiden, clearly annoyed by her indifferent tone, asked, “What’s your n?” The thought of her meeting with a junior and arranging future phone calls right in front of him was frustrating.
“Can’t you tell? I’m about to drive,” Ellie retorted. She added sarcastically, “Do you need me to book an eye appointment for you, Mr. Thorpe?”
“Get in my car,” Kaiden demanded, his voice unwavering.
“I don’t want to get in.” Ellie, however, had no intention ofplying. It was unusual for her to be this dismissive towards someone, and even though she tried to remain polite, her frustration was evident.
Kaiden nced at his driver and gave a subtle nod. The driver understood immediately, got out of the car, and approached them.
“Take my wife’s car back,” Kaiden instructed.
“This is my car, Kaiden! You don’t have the right to decide that!” Ellie argued, her face showing clear resistance. She was not in the mood to tolerate his domineering attitude.
Kaiden, visibly irritated by her defiance, wheeled himself back to his Maybach. In a smooth and rapid motion, he opened the door, shifted himself inside, and sat in the driver’s seat. The Maybach, a luxury car worth five million, jerked into motion. It elerated effortlessly.
Suddenly, there was a loud “Bang!”
The Maybach had collided with Ellie’s Audi, the impact deforming its rear and causing white smoke to billow out. However, the Maybach remainedrgely undamaged, a testament to its superior build.
Kaiden and Ellie’s eyes met through the windshield. Ellie was in shock. Had Kaiden lost his mind?
“What are you trying to do, Kaiden?” she asked, storming towards him in anger.
Kaiden slid over to the passenger seat. “My driver will handle your car’s repairs. You drive mine,” he said, as if granting a favor.
Meanwhile, Erick was waiting for Demi in his Ferrari, smoking a cigarette. As Demi entered the car, he inquired, “Is everything settled?”
Tears filled Demi’s eyes as she shook her head, portraying herself as a victim to Erick.
“Ellie is so ungrateful. She must be happy about the school’s decision against me. I didn’t think she could be so cruel…”
Erick’s expression turned grim.
Realizing he wasn’tforting her, Demi felt a sense of foreboding.
“Erick, you…” she began, but Erick cut her off.
“Let’s break up,” he said, his voice firm and ovepping with hers.
“What? What are you saying?” Demi’s disbelief was palpable, her fabricated tears still lingering.
“I’m saying we’re done,” Erick dered, taking a final drag of his cigarette before extinguishing it in the ashtray. His entire manner radiated frustration.
“Why? Why all of a sudden?” Demi was utterly confused, clutching at Erick’s hand. “No, I can’t ept this.”
“You don’t have a say in this!” Erick pulled his hand away with impatience. “Demi, you’ve been expelled from Critport University. You’re just a high school graduate now. My family, the Thorpes, can’t ept someone like that as a daughter-inw. What do you have thatpares to Ellie? Your actions have embarrassed me in front of Kaiden and Ellie!”
