?Chapter 360:
“Kaiden worked his way up to be GT Group’s CEO, but Erick, hiding behind his family’s influence, turned into a scammer. That’s just funny!”
Erick felt his mind unraveling as he read thesements. “Dad, are we just going to ignore this?” he asked, desperation creeping into his voice. He felt bitter and humiliated.
“What’s your next move? You’ve only got yourself to me for showing off like that!” Talon was taken aback by Jorge’s stance today.
“Dad, Grandpa didn’t back us up today. Do you think he’s siding with Kaiden now?” Erick couldn’t hide his growing concern.
Talon, surprised by his im, quickly dismissed it. “No way! It must be due to Ellie’s involvement. Your grandpa is concerned with his reputation, so he had to stop supporting us in front of Ellie.”
Erick thought back to Ellie’s actions that evening, feeling a mix of difort. He dreamed of putting her in her ce, making her wish she’d never sided with Kaiden. Yet, beneath his anger, he envied Kaiden. What made Ellie defend him so fiercely? Compared to Ellie, Demi, though charming and seductive, proved to be of no help when it really mattered!
Back in the study, Jorge watched Kaiden, who was idly ying with his phone. It had been a long while since he’d looked at his youngest son. Their interactions were often filled with conflict. Yet, he couldn’t help but acknowledge Kaiden’s striking appearance and unmatched abilities among his siblings, particrly when Kaiden was young. If only Kaiden were morepliant, he’d be a better fit for the Thorpe legacy than Talon’s branch of the family.
“Kaiden, we’veunched a new energy venture. I want you to lead it as CEO,” Jorge offered, gesturing towards some documents.
Kaiden replied coolly, “I’m not interested.”
“I get that you’re running GT Group and might not want another project, but this is different—it’s a family venture,” Jorge exined, showing rare patience with Kaiden. “You’ve made a sess of Heart Ind Bar. Ignore your brother’sments; what belongs to you is safe.”
Kaiden signaled to Ellie that it was time to leave, addressing Jorge. “We’re going now.”

Unless the conversation turned to Brisa’s situation, he saw no point in staying another minute.
Jorge sighed deeply at Kaiden’s stubbornness. “Ellie, please stay. I need to speak with you.”
Kaiden grasped Ellie’s hand, drawing her close, his expression wary and indifferent as he faced Jorge.
“Kaiden! Ellie is my daughter-inw! Is it too much to ask for a moment to speak with her?” Jorge’s patience snapped, and he raised his voice.
Ellie sought out Omiros in the side building, driven by a question that had been nagging at her.
“The Chapmans are aware Brisa is alive, correct?” Ellie ventured. She noticed that Omiros’s expression was one of sadness rather than shock when Cayson spoke of Brisa’s illness.
“Yes,” Omiros confirmed with a nod.
“Why then… haven’t you considered removing her from the care facility? Or bringing her into the Chapman household?” Ellie asked, confused.
Omiros seemed at a loss for words, scratching his head as he considered how to exin.
After a moment, he inquired, “Ellie, why do you think we ought to relocate my aunt?”
