?Chapter 318:
“Sir, we have found him!”
A bodyguard approached Kaiden with the news. Meanwhile, a stretcher was being carried up the slope by several people.
Baylee rushed to the stretcher. The man on it was pale, his clothes torn and bloodied, with a mix of blood and mud at the back of his head.
Despite his grim state, he was breathing.
A wave of relief washed over Baylee.
Kaiden approached, his frown deepening at the sight of the injured man.
This was a serious situation.
Ellie watched Kaiden anxiously, waiting for his decision.
“Take him to the Stephens family’s hospital secretly.” Following that, Kaiden instructed Bruce to contact the Stephens family.
The bodyguard responded, “Yes!”
Next, he organized for the individual in the helicopter to lower the rescue rope.
Taking Marvin to the hospital by car would consume a considerable amount of time, and the rough road wasn’t ideal for the injured man.
The helicopter was a much faster and smoother option.
“You said I could trust you, Kaiden!” Ellie anxiously tugged the edge of his clothes.
“I’ll make sure he doesn’t expose himself.” Kaiden sped Ellie’s hand, sensing the sharp chill radiating from her.
With her hands and feet prone to turning cold in winter, it was only natural for her to feel cold while searching for Marvin on a winter night.
Ellie and Baylee exchanged nces, then nodded in agreement with Kaiden’s n.
Marvin’s condition looked severe. Sending him to the hospital was the best decision, and Kaiden’s presence made the process smoother.

Concerned for Baylee, Ellie made sure they shared the same car. The Bentley’s interior was eerily silent, the heavy, suffocating atmosphere making it hard to breathe.
“What happened to you today?” Ellie inquired. “Isn’t it over an hour’s drive from here to your apartment?”
“I was out shopping when I was forced into a car. Marvin heard about it and came to rescue me. He fell down the slope while shielding me from a knife attack.”
In total, there were two kidnappers who had taken Baylee. Both of them tumbled down the slope during their fight with Marvin.
When the bodyguards came to give their report earlier, they mentioned that there were two individuals at the mountain’s base, but they had already passed away.
After sharing this, Baylee turned to Kaiden. “Mr. Thorpe, I’m grateful for your help today.”
“If you really want to thank me, try not to call Ellie so often.” Kaiden’s expression grew darker, indicating he was in a bad mood.
“Hey!” Ellie leaned over, giving Kaiden a light tap on the arm as a gentle reprimand.
