Chapter 295

    ?Chapter 295:

Demi watched Ellie, amazed. At just twenty-one, Ellie had already earned her master’s degree?

Despite getting off on the wrong foot about Ellie’s background, Erick wasn’t backing down. “Having a master’s degree is one thing. It doesn’t automatically mean you’re capable. And after the anniversary event, how will anyone know if you really deserve to be here or not?”

Demi watched the scene with a smile, feeling quite at ease.

“What’s happening? Grab the microphone.” Things were getting out of hand. The teacher responsible for the anniversary quickly told someone to take the microphone from Erick.

Addressing the principal, Kaiden suddenly said, “It’s about the school’s and the student’s reputation. We should sort this out right now. Sir, what do you think?”

Removing the microphone at this moment would surely damage Ellie’s reputation.

How could he let his wife be defamed by such nonsense?

His Ellie deserved to be in the spotlight rightfully.

Clearly, Kaiden was pressuring the principal.

The principal understood that Ellie needed to clear things up, but he was worried it might disrupt the anniversary event’s schedule. A tall guy in a white shirt and jeans, who was standing nearby, quickly walked over.

“Sir, the speeches of the first six graduates were quite brief, and we’re about 20 minutes ahead now. I’d like to speak on Ellie’s behalf on stage, if that’s okay.”

    The principal reluctantly agreed.

Meanwhile, Ellie was torn between two choices: either visit the school to check her honor information or confront Erick in a deserted alley after the school’s anniversary event.

Just then, an attractive man stepped onto the stage.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got this,” he said in a hushed tone.

Ellie found him vaguely familiar but couldn’t quite ce where she had seen him before.

Among the whispers of the audience, the man said, “Good morning, teachers and students. I’m a senior at Critport University. I’ll spend the next few minutes addressing the queries regarding Ellie.”

He began operating theputer, and a link appeared on the big screen.

“In March this year, our student union reported on Ellie…” he began in a steady voice, disying the report for everyone to see.

“Ellie joined the image styling program at our College of Fine Arts. She finished her master’s degree early, pleting both her postgraduate and doctoral studies in five years, and maintained the top spot in her ss for all those years. She was honored as the best graduate for both her undergraduate and master’s studies. She received the national schrship three times. She’s published three papers in top national journals, secured six first-ce wins in internationalpetitions, seven in national ones. These are just some of Ellie’s achievements while at school. She’s the youngest student to receive so many honors, both in our school’s history and in the county’s figurative arts field.” Ellie herself never kept track of these awards.
