    “Although it may not be as prestigious as a Patek Philippe, it’s a limited edition and was originally priced at $900,000.” Ellie quizzed him further, “Why don’t you calcte how many BMW X5s and Hermes bags this watch could fetch?”


    “Ha ha!” Charlie couldn’t help butugh, covering his mouth with his hand before awkwardly clearing his throat. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean tough. Ellie doesn’t unt her wealth. That’s good.”


    Ellie, however, saw right through him and knew that Charlie’sughter was intentional.


    “If there’s nothing else, I’ll go back to my room first.” Ellie didn’t want to waste her time there.


    “Ellie, what are you proud of? Acquiring your wealth by sleeping with men? If you’re bold enough, summon Mr. Thorpe to settle the score with me. For a hooker, you take yourself too seriously!” Herman angrily shouted as Ellie walked away.


    Returning to her room, Ellie opened the door and was surprised to find a man inside.

    For a moment, she questioned whether she had entered the wrong room. Doubting herself, she verified the door number. It was indeed her room. “Kaiden, why are you in my room? Why haven’t you left?” Ellie hurriedly entered and closed the door, grateful that she had upgraded the standard room to a single room.


    This single room, though luxurious, was rtively smallerpared to the presidential suite Kaiden had used to upy. However, it still maintained a sense of simplicity.


    “I’m lodging here.”


    Seated in the armchair, Kaiden had documents spread across the tea table—some read, some unread. He appeared quite at home in this makeshift office.


    “What do you mean by lodging here?” Ellie frowned.

    “I need to stay here for another two days,” Kaiden exined. “It’s quiet here.”


    “You have work here, and to avoid disturbances from Joseph and the others in the presidential suite, you chose to stay quietly in my room?” Ellie understood the practicality but couldn’t understand why she had to agree to it. “There are numerous hotels nearby. Why not stay in one of them?”


    Without uttering a word, Kaiden looked up at Ellie, his expression seemingly questioning. “Can’t I stay here? Are you asking me to leave?”


    Ellie was silenced by his look.


    Legally, Kaiden was her husband, and staying here was within his rights.

    Unable to decipher his thoughts, Ellie finally sighed andpromised. “Alright. By the way, have you eaten yet?”
