?Chapter 227:
While taking makeup photos, Herman had initially thought the look wasn’t ttering. Now, as Demi pointed it out, the more he examined himself, the less satisfied he became.
“Herman, did you offend Ellie? I’ve seen the fantastic styling she’s done for others, but yours…” Demi trailed off, leaving the implication hanging in the air. Then she added, “Yesterday, Mr. Ramos mentioned your posture wasn’t up to par. Ellie, in fact, approached Mr. Ramos and mentioned that your posture was slouched, far from the look expected of a handsome period drama character.”
As the head of the makeup team, Ellie, of course, refrained from gossiping about the actors’ conduct. It wasn’t her ce. However, Herman never bothered to rify the truth with Ellie, leaving Demi free to share whatever she pleased.
Herman had received a severe scolding from Joseph the previous day due to his poor posture. It had been a blow to his pride. Ellie’s recent rejection, coupled with his current appearance, caused him to clench his fists in frustration.
Outside the studio city, Ellie and Susanna ran errands to purchase some everyday essentials.
Upon their return, they were met with a group of fans holding banners that read, “Come on, Herman” and “Herman, I love you.”
“But I thought the cast hadn’t made this public? How do they have fans already?” Susanna wondered aloud, just before amotion erupted.
“You wretch! You intentionally made Herman look so ugly!” a furious fan yelled, hurling something at Ellie.
Quick on her feet, Ellie grabbed herrge shoulder bag and shielded Susanna with her other arm, protecting her from the iing object.
Stter!
The projectile turned out to be an egg, which burst upon impact against Ellie’s Louis Vuitton bag.

The enraged woman continued hurling eggs at Ellie, as if channeling all her anger into this bizarre attack.
Ellie then pushed Susanna aside and used her bag as a shield, skillfully deflecting the eggs. Not a single drop of yolk tarnished her attire.
“You bitch! You deliberately gave Herman an unttering makeover and spoke ill of him. Women like you, trying to ruin his career, deserve to suffer!” the woman raged, her face twisted with hatred. Suddenly, she lunged forward, a glint of silver shing in her hand.
“Watch out, Ellie!” Susanna cried out.
p!
“Ahh!”
Almost simultaneously, the woman’s pained cry and the sound of a dagger hitting the ground filled the air.
No one couldprehend how Ellie had managed to disarm the frenzied fan, pinning her to the ground with her hands behind her back in a swift, lightning-fast maneuver.
The entire process took no more than a few seconds.
