Chapter 200:
“Miss Gordon, what an unexpected encounter in this ce!” Akira remarked while applying Demi’s makeup.
Demi opened her eyes, gave Akira a quick look, and said, “I don’t know you. Keep your distance.”
Demi liked to act sweet, but she was actually quite arrogant behind closed doors.
Unfazed, Akira continued with a smile, “You must know Ellie, right? Guess what? She’s here too.”
“What did you just say?” Demi’s voice lifted in surprise, garnering curious nces from others.
Akira, pleased with herself, rified, “I mean, Ellie’s working on Peerless Grace too. She’s even the vice director of the costume and makeup team.”
Vice director…
Ellie, fresh out of college, hadnded the role of vice director in the clothing and makeup team of a majorpany. It was surprising, considering Demi had spent years working her way up to her current status.
Demi, her fists clenched tightly to contain her anger, had resisted acting on impulse like before when she had insisted that thepany fire Ellie.
This time, she turned to Akira with a scornful look. “You think you can use me to get at Ellie? Really, do you think you’re worthy of that?”
Akira stood there, biting her lip, her face flushed with embarrassment.
If Demi refused to ally with her, she would handle Ellie on her own!
Meanwhile, Demi had whispered to her assistant.
A few momentster, the assistant returned, leaning in to whisper, “Demi, that guy went to the bathroom.”
“Ellie, you don’t even know your real parents. Do you really think you deserve a birthday celebration?”

In the bathroom, Ellie was washing her hands when she saw Demi’s reflection in the mirror. Demi, dressed in an borate, ancient-style costume, stood a short distance away, arms folded.
Ellie took a couple of paper towels, dried her hands, and faced Demi. “Why does it concern you?”
The current situation annoyed Demi to no end. Why did there have to be such a fireworks disy on Ellie’s birthday? It had be a favorite discussion topic among the people in the circle, and everyone’s admiration for Ellie grew.
It had only been a few days since Demi had her own birthday party, but no one talked about it anymore. Ellie’s birthday hadpletely overshadowed hers.
“Ellie! Stop! I have something to tell you!” Demi shouted angrily at Ellie, who was about to leave. She rushed over to stop Ellie and said coldly, “You must ask the owner of Rich Bar to apologize to me! That bastard even went so far as to block me on Twitter!”
Erick had sent one of his men to find Harry from Rich Bar and offer Harry money so that he would make a semnce of a public apology to Demi. However, Harry had directly refused, saying that his boss would not entertain such an idea. s, no one knew who the owner of Rich Bar was. So Demi had no choice but to go to Ellie.
