?Chapter 195:
There was no red rose among the blooms.
Gradually, beyond the flower bearers, even strangers in the vicinity smiled, wishing Ellie a “happy birthday, miss!”
At that moment, it felt as if goodwill and blessings enveloped her.
Upon reaching the destination, Ellie stood holding the flowers. Under the symbolic castle building of the amusement park, a man in a ck overcoat sat in a wheelchair, holding arge bouquet of red roses and flowers made of baby’s breath. He looked at Ellie silently.
His cold eyes softened, akin to melting ice.
As Ellie locked eyes with Kaiden, her heart quickened its pace, thumping fiercely against her ribcage.
Compelled by the powerful rhythm resonating within her chest, she took resolute steps towards the man, drawn to him like a ma.
No matter how unlikely it seemed, Ellie was convinced at that moment that Kaiden was indeed celebrating her birthday. Kaiden’s voice, muffled by his mask, reached only Ellie’s ears. “Happy birthday, Mrs. Thorpe,” he whispered.
Right after he spoke, fireworks burst into life behind the castle.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
The fireworks went off, painting the sky with color.
In the air, the words “Happy Birthday TO Ellie” sparkled.
The tourists around them were thrilled.
“Wow! Look at that, it’s so romantic.”
“Someone’s getting a birthday wish.”
“Happy birthday, Miss.”

“May they live a long, happy life together.”
“Hope they have a baby soon.”
“May they grow old together.”
Such blessings were repeated over and over.
Ellie, in a soft voice, asked, “Why are you making such a big deal out of this?”
Kaiden had discussed even more borate ns with the nning team. This was actually the least extravagant one.
“If I really wanted to go all out, I’d have booked every LED screen in the city center,” Kaiden said.
“Mrs. Thorpe, you deserve to have what everyone else gets when they celebrate their birthday,” he added.
Kaiden’s gesture was a response to Demi’s attempt to belittle Ellie. He wanted to give Ellie an even grander birthday celebration.
Brushing aside the assortment of flowers Ellie held, Kaiden handed her arge bouquet.
“I just hope it’s not toote,” he said.
