?Chapter 165:
Kaiden’s good mood faded for a moment when he heard what she said. “What do you want to eat?” he asked bluntly. Wasn’t Ellie happier to have dinner with him than with Baylee?
Ellie thought for a while and said with a sigh, “There’s a family-style restaurant in the city center. But I don’t think we can book seats at this time.”
“Which one is that?” Kaiden asked calmly.
He sounded so confident, as if he could get a table at any time.
Ellie gave him the name and address of the restaurant and then said seriously, “The owner of this restaurant is not short of money. He is a man of principle who does not eptte bookings, nor does he tolerate people who try to cut queues.”
What she meant was that no matter how rich Kaiden was, his money wouldn’t impress the owner of the restaurant.
“Mrs. Thorpe, you don’t have to worry about that,” Kaiden said confidently.
He then pulled out his phone and made a call. The callsted less than a minute. After ending the call, he looked at Ellie and said seriously, “Let’s go.”
“Where are we going?”
Ellie looked at him confusedly. Did he really manage to book a table at that restaurant?
“Let’s go to dinner,” Kaiden replied calmly.
Ellie nced at her watch and remarked, “It’s only 5 p.m. Why the rush?”
Ellie felt it was still early for dinner. She wanted to take a walk with him on the pedestrian street first.
This family-style restaurant was very close to the pedestrian street, and it happened that a new milk tea shop had just opened there two days ago. Ellie hadn’t had the chance to visit it and try their drinks yet.
Something suddenly urred to Ellie, and she sighed heavily. “Forget it. The pedestrian street is not a ce for you,” she said sadly.

“Why?” Kaiden asked, his expression gloomy.
Ellie was speechless. He seemed unaware of the potential consequences.
“Mr. Thorpe, do you think it is appropriate for a handsome man like you, who is confined to a wheelchair, to wander around the shopping district?” Ellie asked seriously.
Kaiden’s striking appearance would undoubtedly attract considerable attention from passers-by. He might run the risk of being caught in traffic jams or even in a stampede if he went there.
Ellie also felt that they couldn’t ignore what other people would say. She could already imagine the words “Handsome man in a wheelchair seen on pedestrian street” trending on social media.
Kaiden’s face was expressionless as he stared at Ellie.
His handsomeness was an inherent trait. Why should he concern himself with others’ opinions when all he wanted was to enjoy himself on the pedestrian street, just like everyone else?
Ellie thought of something and suddenly took out a brand new ck mask from her shoulder bag. “If we really have to go, then you wear this!”
