    “Sir, you’ve been studying this tie for two days. What’s so special about it?” Bruce’s curiosity was piqued. This tie didn’t seem to fit Kaiden’s usual style.


    Kaiden shifted his gaze from the hand-embroidered word “Stephens” on the tie and looked at Bruce. “Do you think this tie suits me?”


    Bruce remained silent.


    Could it possibly suit him?


    Bruce pondered for a moment. Was Kaiden referring to the color? Half an hourter, Bruce was summoned to Kaiden’s office once more.


    “Where is she?” Kaiden inquired.


    Who exactly was he talking about?


    Bruce was momentarily baffled by the abrupt question.


    Fortunately, he quickly regained hisposure and replied, “Mrs. Thorpe… She left ten minutes ago.”


    Kaiden suddenly looked up, his piercing gaze unnerving Bruce.


    But Kaiden hadn’t made any request for her toe!


    Bruce had sought his permission, yet Kaiden hadn’t asked for her to stay.


    Bruce kept his grievances to himself. As a diligent subordinate, he didn’t feel it was his ce toin. He quickly said, “She’s probably just gone downstairs. I’ll check!”


    Luckily, Bruce found Ellie outside the GT Group’s building.


    “What’s the matter, Bruce?” Seeing him rush over, Ellie was slightly taken aback.


    Relieved to have caught up with her, Bruce said, “Mrs. Thorpe, why don’t you go upstairs for a bit?”


    “Does he want to see me?” Ellie asked.


    Bruce nodded without a moment’s hesitation. “Yes, he wants to discuss an important matter with you.” But it wasn’t anything serious.


    Kaiden had merely asked him to invite her upstairs for a moment.

    “Mrs. Thorpe, this way, please.” Bruce escorted Ellie to the president’s VIP elevator. They encountered no one else.


    “Bruce, I have a question for you.”


    “What would you like to know, Mrs. Thorpe?”


    “Is your boss acquainted with Essence Robbins?” Ellie had heard from Essence herself that she had known Kaiden since they were children and that they were quite close.


    “Essence Robbins?” Bruce pondered before replying, “The Robbins family’s daughter? They once had dinner together.”


    The dinner had been hosted by Jerome and Edwin. Essence hade on her own.


    Ellie scoffed.


    Their marriage was new, yet already a troublesome woman had appeared!


    Sensing Ellie’s difort, Bruce quickly tried to rify, “Mrs. Thorpe, please don’t misunderstand. Miss Robbins isn’t close to our boss. She…”


    “Ding-dong!”


    Just then, the elevator doors opened, arriving at the CEO’s floor.
