Chapter 88

    ?Chapter 88:

But as the jazz music began, Ellie moved with it.

Her dance was vibrant and energetic, a lively disy of jazz moves. Her hips swayed, her waist twisted, her chest lifted, and she turned.

Each movement was precise, natural, and captivating.

Kaiden had seen many women dance, but none had caught his attention like Ellie. Her slender waist moved rhythmically, her movements flirtatious and mesmerizing.

This performance surpassed any he had witnessed before.

As Ellie struck her final pose, Kaiden abruptly stood and grasped her waist.

Her waist felt delicate under his hand, causing Ellie to freeze in shock. Her breath caught, and she stared at him in astonishment.

The warmth of his palm seeped through her skin, rendering her rigid and hesitant to move.

His gaze traveled from her face to her neck, then lower…

That look made her intensely ufortable, as if she were bare andpletely exposed under his scrutiny.

“Mrs. Thorpe, are you so desperate for attention that you’re willing to unt yourself like this because I fail to satisfy you? Huh?” Kaiden’s voice dripped with contempt.

He leaned in close, his breath mingling with hers. She could see his long, thick eyshes casting a shadow over his intense, dark eyes, sending a shiver of fear through her.

“How could that be?” Ellie, regaining herposure, met his gaze with a forced smile. “Mr. Thorpe, your legs are clearly fine. How could you fail to satisfy me? I pride myself on being easily content.”

This was the poise of a former top socialite, capable of charming a crowd and maintaining herposure.

“Wouldn’t my mother be thrilled to see the elegance of her daughter-inw?” Kaiden’s words hinted at sarcasm.

Mentioning Ellie’s respected elder, her demeanor faltered, a flush of embarrassment coloring her cheeks.

“Mr. Thorpe, you’re interfering with the bidding. If it doesn’t reach a hundred thousand because of you, will you make it up?” Ellie tried to push him away, but her strength was insufficient.

“So, you’ll leave with anyone who can meet the price, huh? Ellie?” Kaiden’s voice carried a subtle note of danger and warning.

“Isn’t this what you wanted?” Ellie retorted.

    Internally, Kaiden rejected her usation.

Ellie struggled to free herself, her expression hardening. “I’ve danced, you’ve had your fun, now let me go.”

To her surprise, she noticed the bidding had already escted in the hall, reaching a hundred and thirty thousand dors.

The crowd below seemed… oblivious to her struggle with Kaiden. Ellie wondered if they were even visible to the people below, a thought that left her momentarily stunned.

    “How could they not see…”

“Theo will contact you tomorrow,” Kaiden abruptly said, releasing her. Ellie wanted to ask more, but Kaiden’s indifferent expression clearly conveyed, “Leave now while I’m still in a decent mood.”
