Chapter 86

    ?Chapter 86:

He wanted to make her suffer.

He wanted to see her break down.

He wanted her to continue pleading.

For a brief moment, Kaiden looked into her eyes, then quickly covered them, his own eyes cold and detached. He needed to avoid her gaze to maintain control.

    “Why so resistant, Ellie?”

“Can we go somewhere else? Not here, not now. Kaiden, please. I don’t want this, not like this, not here…”

Ellie’s resistance wasn’t just about the act itself but the context. The thought of it happening in broad daylight, on a couch in a public space like the clubhouse, was unbearably humiliating. It felt like a vition of her dignity, trampled and disregarded.

Momentster, Kaiden sneered and let her go.

The moment she was freed, Ellie quickly adjusted her clothes and retreated a few steps, eyeing him cautiously.

Kaiden lit a cigarette and inhaled deeply, trying to quell the rising irritability and loss of control inside him.

“Kaiden, are you… are you drunk?” Ellie asked, her eyes watching him closely. His recent behavior was out of character.

“What do you want? Speak,” Kaiden demanded, his tone cold.

“I need a favor… Can you contact Theo for me? I want him to perform a surgery,” Ellie asked politely, keeping her voice steady.

The mention of Theo seemed to irk Kaiden. His expression darkened, and he looked away.

Kaiden was clearly unhappy. He knew that many were captivated by Ellie. Did she enjoy attracting the attention of others?

Despite the tension, Ellie didn’t leave. She stayed, determined to discuss the matter.

“Why should I help you? I’m not a charity,” Kaiden said, his voice sharp and oppressive.

Ellie understood his implication. A woman unwilling to fulfill her marital obligations had no right to ask for favors.

“I can… I can agree to your terms, but not here,” Ellie said, her voice trembling with emotion. “Let’s go back to Moon Manor, or a hotel.” The thought of being intimate in such a ce made her feel degraded—no different from those she despised.

Kaiden exhaled a ring of smoke. “Miss Gordon, you don’t negotiate terms in business,” he said, his tone formal, a clear jab at her earlier refusal.

If Ellie had agreed sooner, she could’ve already secured Theo’s contact information. But now, the power dynamics had shifted.

Kaiden held the upper hand, and he knew it. He could demand more from her now.

Ellie watched him in silence, her mind racing as she awaited his conditions, ready toply if possible.

“I’ll offer you an opportunity.” Kaiden gestured toward therge panoramic French windows.

They offered a sweeping view of the club’s first floor, a scene of indulgence and excess.

Although unsure of Kaiden’s intentions, Ellie could sense it wasn’t going to be anything favorable. Below, music red, and people danced with wild abandon, their movements uninhibited. Some were drinking and dancing, while others were intimately entwined. It was a scene of decadence.
