Chapter 64

    ?Chapter 64:

Once alone, Kaiden pondered Ellie’s fascination with hot chocte. Curiously, he picked up a cup, took a sip, and his expression turned to one of instant revulsion.

It tasted terrible. He mused how easily women’s tastes were catered to and exploited.

Demi’s career had been on a significant upswing.

Thanks to Houston’s influence, her talent agency provided her with top-tier resources, positioning her alongside thepany’s most prominent stars. Prestigious fashion brands were reaching out to her one after another.

Shortly after she signed onto a leading variety show, Demi encountered Dani.

“Demi, you won’t believe who I saw today at GT Group’s studios. I was there for a magazine shoot.”

    “Who?” Demi disliked the suspense.

“It was Ellie!” Dani, knowing Demi’s animosity towards Ellie, didn’t hesitate to divulge the information. “I asked around. She’s in the running to be GT Group’s new quarterly coborative stylist and has made it to the final round!”

Demi had thwarted Ellie’s prospects multiple times, but this opportunity with GT Group was on another level.

Bing the coborative stylist for GT Group would undoubtedly elevate Ellie’s status dramatically.

“What did you say? She’s in the final?” Demi couldn’t believe it, her grip tightening around the fashion magazine until it crumpled in her hand.

How could Ellie, of all people, be deemed worthy of such a prestigious opportunity?

Struggling to contain her shock and rage, Demi took a deep breath and remembered a crucial detail.

MOON, a high-end jewelry brand under the GT Group umbre, had recently shown interest in making her their spokesperson. The discussions, however, had stalled over pricing disagreements.

This, Demi realized, could be a perfect bargaining chip to use against Ellie.

Ellie returned to Moon Manor and immersed herself in preparing for the third and final round of the interview.

Kaiden, having not encountered her since his return, inquired about her whereabouts.

“Mrs. Thorpe is reading in her room,” Cayson informed him. “She seems deeply engrossed in preparation for an important interview in a few days.”

At the mention of the interview, Kaiden’s mind instantly conjured an image of Ellie teetering around in her high heels, causing him to frown at her perceived recklessness.

“Mr. Thorpe, the sanatorium has contacted us again,” Cayson interjected, bringing Kaiden back from his thoughts. “It seems Madam had another distressing episodest night.”

    Kaiden’s face clouded over.

“Inform Ellie that I’ll take her out tomorrow. And make sure the sanatorium is ready for our visit.”

    “Understood, sir.”

Ellie was somewhat surprised to learn from Cayson that she was to apany Kaiden the following day. They were to visit a venerable elder, and she understood the importance of making a good impression.
