Liam: Hope you’re not making other ns, sweetheart. I’ll be iming all of your evening

    Iughed, biting my lip.

Liam: If you’re wondering… yes, I’m imagining you in that dress right now. And yes, you’re driving me insane.

    PS: Don’t wear panties.

    I nearly dropped my phone.

“Liam!” I hissed to myself, cheeks ming.

    The man was outrageous.

I tried to text him back, but before I could finish my sarcastic response, another knock sounded.

Delivery number three: a pair of diamond drop earrings, dazzling enough to fund a down payment on a penthouse. I just stared at them, speechless. Was I being proposed to or…?

    Me: What are you up

    No response.

    to?

Me: You know how insane this is, right?

    Still nothing.

    Me: Seriously, Liam.

    Finally, a buzz..

Liam: Don’t ask questions. Just say yes to everything tonight.

Attached was a photo of him in a ck suit, jaw sharp, hair styled, smirk weaponized.

I stared at it for longer than I should’ve.

    Chapter BO

    1288 Moochers

    By 7.30, I was ready.

The dress clung to me like it had been sewn on, every seam teasing sin. My makeup was wless, soft waves curled perfectly, lips painted the same red as the silk brushing my thighs The m team he sent had left me feeling like a goddess.

Still, I had no clue what the night was about. But I had a feeling I wouldn’t forget it.

At 7:58 sharp, a sleek ck SUV pulled into the driveway. The driver stepped out, opened the door, and gave me a polite nod.

    “Miss Emily, we’re ready.”

The car ride was silent, the tension thick. Excitement and anxiety churned in my stomach as we drove away from Liam’s estate. I expected dinner at some fancy rooftop, maybe one of his hotels.

But when we stopped at a private helipad overlooking downtown L.A., my mouth went dry.

    And then I saw him.

Liam stood by the helicopter like he owned the sky, one hand in his pocket, the other brushing back his wind–tossed hair. His suit looked like it had been cut from midnight itself.

    Our eyes locked.

And suddenly, the world around us stopped spinning.

“You wore it,” he said, voice lower, rougher.

    “You sent it.’

“I didn’t know it would look that good.”

The way he looked at me, hungry, reverent, made my skin prickle. He stepped forward and kissed me, slow and deep, hands firm on my waist.

    Then he took my hand.

    “Let’s fly.”

We soared over Los Angeles, lights glittering beneath us like fallen stars. I barely noticed the altitude, I only noticed the way Liam’s fingers stayed wrapped around mine the whole time.

Wended on the rooftop of one of his towers Candlelight. A violinist. A table for two draped in white linen and surrounded by rose petals. Every detail was deliberate, breathtaking.

Dinner was slow, romantic, and filled with flirtation. Liam fed me chocte soufflé with his fingers, stole kisses between courses, and made meugh until I couldn’t breathe

“You nned all this?” I asked, sipping my wine.

“I nned this weeks ago,” he said. “But I needed to be sure.”

    “That you’re mine.”

The wind picked up as he rose from his chair and took my hand again.

    “Come.”

We walked to the edge of the rooftop. The view stretched out endlessly. Stars above. City lights below. Everything in between belonged to him.

    And then, fireworks.

I gasped as gold exploded across the sky, lighting up the night.

And there, written in shimmering trails across the dark:

    WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?

    My heart stopped.

My hands flew to my face. My lips parted in a disbelieving gasp.

I turned to Liam. “You did not…”

    “I absolutely did.”

    “Liam…”

“I wanted it loud,” he said. “Louder than gossip. Louder than the blogs. Loud enough to silence everyone else.”

I nodded, unable to speak through the tears that blurred my vision.

He cupped my face. “Say yes.”

    “Yes,” I whispered. “God, yes.”

    This kiss was fierce. Triumphant.

That night, back at his house, everything changed.

He carried me to the bedroom like he’d been aching for this moment forever. The silk dress slipped off my shoulders like it had a mind of its own. His lips followed every inch of skin, slow and possessive.

    It wasn’t just sex.

It was him showing me, telling me, without words, that I was his.

We moved together like a storm and its thunder, crashing and rising, fierce and warm, wild but safe.

Later, tangled in sheets, chests rising and falling, he pulled me close and whispered against my neck:

“Now that you’re officially mine… I’ming for any man who dares look your way.

    I smiled into his chest.

    Somehow, I didn’t doubt it.
