The words seemed to carry another meaning. Mason didn’t press further. After two seconds of silence, he hung up.

Benjamin really hadn’t seen Aidan in a long time. It would be good for him to see him.
Taking a child along meant the ride wouldn’t be boring.

She walked around to the other side and opened the door before picking Benjamin up.
