"False rm. Move along, move along."
The round-faced flight attendant opened her mouth in frustration.
She knew she hadn''t imagined it.
Besides, Mr. Fullbuster is already married, isn''t he?
Even though Mrs. Fullbuster had never appeared publicly, she had stirred up more than a few waves inside AeroAir.
Not long ago, there had been whispers that Mr. Fullbuster''s wife had visited him at work, and that he''d personally gone to the staff cafeteria to get food for her.
So maybe what she''d just seen really was the mysterious Mrs. Fullbuster. She was an absolute beauty. But she looked a little young.
So, what is it? Is Mr. Fullbuster robbing the cradle, or is he, like most men, keeping someone on the side?
Meanwhile, pletely unaware they''d been spotted, Anneliese dragged Jonathan straight out of the terminal and into the car.
"You have to remember to deal with the airport surveince," she said seriously.
Zane might not go out of his way to track Jessica down, but anything that could leave a trail still needed to disappear.
Jonathan leaned over, fastened her seat belt for her himself, and stole a kiss while he was at it.
Her lips flushed instantly under his deliberate teasing before he finally pulled away. "Strawberry-vored payment," he saidzily. "I helped myself."
She hadn''t worn lipstick today, just a swipe of strawberry lip balm. Now it waspletely gone.
The car rolled slowly out of the parking structure. Above them, a southbound aircraft cut cleanly through the sky and vanished into the clouds.
For Jessica, it was her first time flying first ss. The cabin was quiet, spacious, andfortable.
Before takeoff, the lead flight attendant approached, crouched beside her seat, and spoke gently.
"Ms. Sweeting, if you feel unwell at any time, please let me know right away. We''ve prepared motion-sickness patches that are safe for pregnant passengers and can assist you at any moment."
Jessica paused, then met the woman''s warm, attentive gaze. She understood immediately. This had Jonathan''s hand written all over it.
After thanking the attendant, Jessica picked up her phone. She sent Anneliese onest message to say she''d boarded safely and would taking off shortly Then, without a moment''s hesitation, she logged out of WhatsApp and deactivated all her social media ounts.
Almost at the same moment, Zane arrived at the international airport in Rugreica.
Before boarding his own flight, he called Jessica again. The call still wouldn''t go through, which wasn''t a surprise at all, but the unease in his chest suddenly doubled.
He frowned sharply and extended his hand to his assistant. "Your phone." "Huh?" The assistant blinked, confused.
Zane didn''t wait for rification. He grabbed the phone straight from his hand, keyed in Jessica''s number, and dialed.
Jessica didn''t have his assistant''s contact information. She didn''t know anyone around him.
By all logic, the call should have gone through immediately.
Instead, a cold mechanical voice answered, "The number you have dialed is powered off."
Zane''s brow knit tightly. At this hour, back home, it was the busiest part of the morning.
Why would her phone be turned off now?
He yanked at his tie, hard. The creeping panic finally solidified into something
darker, turning into an unease he could no longer dismiss.
At dawn, Gianna returned once more to Wendy''s vi at dawn.
There was no trace of anything amiss in her expression. Just as usual, she greeted Wendy with a bright, innocent smile, carrying a box of pastries in one hand and cradling arge bouquet of fresh flowers in the other.
"Mom, I got an emergency call from a friendst night, so I left without saying anything," she exined softly. "She was in a minor car
ident, and her parents wel
overseas. I was busy helping her only saw your two missed calls when I got back. It was alreadyte, and I didn''t want to disturb your rest. You''re not upset with me, are you?"
Gianna wasn''t sure whether Wendy had already discovered that she''d seen the pregnancy test report. So, she chose to keep everything exactly as it was.
After all, Adrian had spent years trying to win Wendy back, using her as the perfect intermediary. If she tore away that thinyer of pretense now, she''d lose her value. And if that happened, there was no guarantee Adrian would continue treating her like a cherished daughter?
She studied Wendy''s expression carefully, and still couldn''t find the slightest clue in her face.
Wendy had her head lowered, flipping through the newly delivered swatch book of wedding dress fabrics. Her expression was focused, her emotions as calm as ever.
It was impossible to tell whether she''d even been listening to what Gianna was saying.
