Chapter 22

    Foster‘ POV

My wolf, Aksher, restless and pacing anxiously inside me, we arrived at this brand new office building in downtown Seattle. The email address on the divorce papers led me here–to aw firm that seemed to think it could steal everything I had.

I pushed through the ss doors, my dominance radiating in waves that made the receptionist straighten in her chair. Her eyes widened as she recognized me – Alpha Foster Thorn of the Silver Lake Pack. My reputation preceded me.

“I need to speak with whoever is handling my mate’s case,” I growled, not bothering with pleasantries. The scent of Summer lingered faintly in the air – she’d been here recently, confirming my suspicions.

“I–I’ll see if Ms. Sage is avable,” the woman stammered, reaching for her phone with trembling fingers.

Minutester, a tall woman with sharp features and calcting eyes emerged from a side hallway. Her power suit screamed authority, but I could smell the Beta rank beneath her designer perfume. She extended her hand with practiced precision.

“Evelyn Sage. How may I assist you, Alpha Foster?”

I ignored her hand. “Where is my mate? Summer Thorn – I know she’s been here.”

A smile curved Evelyn’s lips, predatory and knowing. “I believe you mean Summer Winster. She’s reimed her maiden name in the divorce proceedings.”

My wolf snarled at the challenge in her voice.

“There will be no divorce,” I stated tly. “Summer is my mate and Luna. This little rebellion of hers has gone far enough.”

Evelyn’s smile only widened, infuriating me further. “Perhaps you should have considered that before your… indiscretions became so frequent. Your mate has made her decision, Alpha Foster, and my firm is assisting her in executing her legal rights.”

I stepped closer, using my Alpha tone to intimidate her. “I asked you where she is.”

To her credit, thewyer didn’t back down. “I’m afraid attorney–client privilege prevents me from discussing Ms. Hayes‘ whereabouts. Besides,” her eyes shed with contempt, “after what you put her through, do you really believe she wants to be found by you?”

My wolf howled with rage, demanding I force the information from this insolent Beta. But attacking awyer in her office would onlyplicate matters. Summer was mine, and I would find her with or without this woman’s help.

“This isn’t over,” I threatened, my voice dropping to a lethal whisper. “Summer belongs with me. With her pack. I will find her.”

““Good luck with that, Alpha.” Evelyn said, examining her perfectly manicured nails.

I stormed out before I could give in to the urge to tear her throat out. Back in my car, I punched the dashboard hard enough to crack it. That fucking bitch! Both of them!

By the time I reached home, my rage had built to a dangerous level. Pack members scattered as I stormed through the house. In my office, I hurled a ss against the wall, watching it shatter like my patience.

A soft knock came at the door.

    “WHAT?” 1 roared.

Susanna slipped inside, looking appropriately contrite. Her blouse was unbuttoned just enough to show the swell of her breasts, her perfume filling the room.

“Alpha,” her voice was honey sweet, cating, “I wanted to apologize for ourst conversation.”

“Get out!“I growled, not ready to forgive her outburst from yesterday.

Susanna winced. “I know. I was wrong to me you earlier. I was just… scared for Moore.” She moved closer, pressing against me. “You’ve done so much for us. I didn’t mean those horrible things I said.”

Her hands slid up my chest. “Let me make it up to you, daddy.”

Her fingers worked deftly, working my belt buckle. “You’re an Alpha, Foster. You deserve respect, loyalty…” her hands slid lower, “…and pleasure.”

Before I could respond, she sank to her knees before me, her mouth finding my hard length with familiar eagerness.

“Let me take care of you,” she whispered, licking her lips before taking me into her hot, wet mouth.

“Fuck,” I groaned, gripping her hair roughly as she swallowed me deep. Her tongue worked magic, swirling around the head before she took me to the back of her throat. Unlike Summer, who always hesitated, Susanna knew exactly what I wanted.

Her hands cupped my balls as she sucked harder, moaning around my shaft like she was tasting something delicious. The vibrations sent pleasure shooting up my spine.

“That’s right, you fucking slut,” I growled, thrusting deeper. “Show me how much you need me.”

Susanna’s eyes watered as I hit the back of her throat, but she didn’t pull away. Instead, she grabbed my ass, encouraging me to use her mouth however I wanted.

I fucked her face mercilessly, watching my cock disappear between those plump lips. Her saliva dripped down her chin as she gagged and moaned, never breaking eye contact.

“Going to fill that pretty mouth,” I warned, feeling my release building.

She nodded eagerly, sucking harder until I exploded, flooding her mouth with hot cum. Unlike Summer, who always turned away, Susanna swallowed every drop, licking her lips afterward like she was savoring dessert.

“Better?” she asked, voice hoarse as she wiped her chin.

I zipped up, my rage temporarily sated. “For now.”

Just after climax, my mind–link vibrated with an urgent call.

“Alpha Foster. I have news.” Sean’s voice cut through the haze of pleasure.

    “Report,” I </bmanded.

“I checked the airport records from the day Luna Summer disappeared. Alpha Alexander’s private jet departed from the same airport just hours after she did.”

“The day Luna Summer disappeared, Alexander ckwood’s private jet took off from the same airport.”

My mind raced. Alexander ckwood? Summer’s old friend from high school?

Alexander and Summer had been close once, before we were mated. Childhood friends, I’d been told. After our mating, I’d made sure Summer cut ties with her old pack connections – it wasn’t appropriate for my Luna to maintain such rtionships, especially with another Alpha. But could she have run to him now?

I didn’t want to miss any possibility

“Book me on the next flight to Vermont,” I ordered, hanging up. ckwood’s pack is in Vermont

    –

Twenty–four hourster, I was sitting in Alexander ckwood’s pack house. The Beta who greeted us a tall, broad–shouldered man with watchful eyes – led us to a waiting area adorned with tasteful artwork andfortable seating.

“Alpha Alexander will be with you shortly,” he said, his neutral tone betraying nothing. “Can I offer you refreshment while you wait?”

“No,” I snapped. “Just tell him to hurry up. I don’t have all day.”

The Beta’s eye twitched slightly at my rudeness but he maintained his professional demeanor as he departed.

I grunted, too tense to appreciate the surroundings. My senses were on high alert, searching for any trace of Summer’s scent. If Alexander had hidden her away somewhere in this building, I would tear the ce apart brick by brick.

Minutes stretched into an hour. My patience was wearing dangerously thin. I paced the waiting area like a caged animal, my wolf raging beneath my skin at the disrespect. How dare another Alpha keep me waiting?

And then I heard it – her voice. Summer’s voice, </bing from down the hallway. My heart raced as my wolf surged forward, desperate to reim our mate.

When she entered the room, she froze, her face draining of color. She looked different – stronger somehow, despite being

    thinner.

    “Alpha Foster?” she whispered.

I smiled, standing to approach my wayward mate.

“Hello, sweetheart,” I said, keeping my voice gentle despite my wolf’s rage. “I’vee to take you home.”
