Chapter 309

    ?Chapter 309:

Realizing the implications, she surged forward in a burst of excitement, grabbing Jessa’s wrist. “Where did you get this phone!?”

Jessa jumped when Belinda appeared out of nowhere.

As she turned around and saw Belinda, her shock intensified, her eyes widening. “Belinda, aren’t you supposed to be dead…” How was she here, alive?

Hadn’t Belinda perished in the car crash justst night?

Unbothered by being called a “dead person,” Belinda didn’t hesitate.

She grabbed the phone right out of Jessa’s hands.

As she held the device, her surprise grew with each passing second.

This phone… It bore a striking resemnce to Joyce’s — same model, same color. Even the diamond sticker on its side and the small nick from a past fall matched perfectly!

Without thinking, she pressed the power button.

Unfortunately, the phone was dead, unresponsive no matter how hard she pressed.

After a moment, Belinda looked up at Jessa with a sniff. “Where did you get this phone?”

Jolted back to reality by the question, Jessa’s initial shock faded. She lunged forward, trying to reim her phone. “What do you mean by that? It’s mine! Give it back!”

How could Belinda just snatch the phone away so easily? She held it close to her chest, fending off Jessa’s attempts with her arms.

“Yours? This phone is my friend’s!”

Belinda fixed Jessa with a stern look. “She’s been overseas for four years. How did you get her phone?”

    ??????????? ??????????????? ?????????ν?????????????

At the mention of Belinda’s friend, Jessa’splexion drained.

Jessa had already upset Cathy by messing up at the café, revealing the hired actor to Kristopher.

Desperate to make amends, she remembered Cathy’s request from the previous night to find a new charger for the phone and had rushed over.

Running into Belinda was bad enough, but Belinda recognizing the phone as Joyce’s right off the bat was worse.

If Belinda took the phone today…

How would she ever exin it to Cathy?

With this thought, Jessa clenched her teeth and red at Belinda. “How can you be so sure this phone is your friend’s? I bought it myself five years ago!”

She continued to wrestle the phone back, teeth gritted. “Belinda, hand over the phone now, or I’ll call the police!”

Belinda scoffed. “Call the police? Go ahead, call them! You’ll have to exin to both me and the police exactly where you got this phone from!”<fnf498> Discover more novels at find?novel</fnf498>

When Jessa heard that, panic gripped her. She couldn’t let this situation escte!

If it became a bigger issue and Cathy got involved…

Belinda would surely discover Cathy’s connection to Joyce.

The potential fallout was too terrible to contemte.

Yet, if Jessa didn’t call the police, Belinda was adamant about not returning her phone.
