?Chapter 293:
Kristopher, on the other hand, remained calm. Now that Marc had arrived, he no longer needed to borrow her phone. He picked it up, his voice low and hoarse. “Do you want me to put it back?”
Belinda’s face flushed crimson instantly. She was too flustered to care about whether the phone was dirty. She grabbed it back hastily and set it aside, muttering, “No need.” If only she had known it woulde to this… She would never have let him pull the phone from her pocket just for convenience.
As he observed the blush spreading across her cheeks, Kristopher felt an inexplicable surge of pleasure. He turned and left the kitchen, settling himself on the living room sofa. Soon after, Marc approached, presenting him with a new phone.
“Last night, ma’am mentioned that your phone was damaged in the ident, so I procured a recement for you overnight. It has your original number, and all your usual apps and ounts have been set up,” he exined with respect.
Kristopher nodded, pleased, as he powered on the new device and asked casually, “What about the men in ck fromst night?”
Marc understood immediately that he was referring to the attackers in the SUVs that had crashed into the roadblock and exploded. “They survived, sir, though they’re all hospitalized with various injuries. The police have them under surveince, and I’ve arranged for our people to monitor them as well.”
After a moment’s pause, Kristopher inquired, his tone detached, “Have we figured out who’s behind them?”
Marc hesitated before responding. Clearing his throat, he finally said, “We’ve made some discoveries…” He ced a document on the coffee table before Kristopher. “Sir… It involves apany named Kristopher and Cathy… Does that sound familiar?”<fnc35c> For original chapters go to F?ndNovel</fnc35c>

Four years ago, during the height of his romance with Cathy, she had expressed a desire to break into show business. She talked about setting up her own studio for her debut.
However, the reality of navigating the entertainment industry without the backing of an established agency proved too much for her small studio, and it was soon abandoned.
If his memory was urate, they had named the studio “Kristopher and Cathy.”
“About those peoplest night…” Marc’s voice dropped to a whisper as he noticed Kristopher engrossed in the document. “The one who coordinated their actions, handled the payments, and sent them to Nawrin University to capture Fred… was from Kristopher and Cathy.”
Kristopher’s grip on the document tightened at Marc’s revtion. Marc’s soft voice continued, “Fred even posted online yesterday iming it was Kristopher and Cathy who financed thoseizens.”
He paused before adding, “Essentially, it was Kristopher and Cathy who unleashed those vile attacks on Mrs. Cox online, branding her a mistress.”
At this, Kristopher’s frown deepened.
Although the studio bore his name, Cathy had been the sole operator since its establishment. Since ceasing its operations four years ago, Cathy had never brought it up again.
