Chapter 282

    ?Chapter 282:

Her voice trailed off as she peered at her phone, her eyes shimmering with malice. “Imagine if Belinda and that college student were to have a car ident tonight. Even if they survive, the news will spread. Everyone will hear about Belinda’s secret rendezvous with a young man in the dead of night. Rumors will swirl that Belinda is already on the lookout for a new romance, just days after her split from Kristopher. At that point, even if Kristopher retains any affection for her, he’ll have to distance himself to protect his own reputation.” She paused, lifting her head with a look of cold deliberation. “Moreover, if Belinda is left disabled by the ident, she’ll be a figure of pity, shunned by all.”

Jessa was speechless, her mind reeling from the darkness of Cathy’s n. She gazed at Cathy’s beautiful, serene face, a realization dawning on her that perhaps she had never truly known Cathy at all.

“Cathy…” Her voice trailed off,den with a mix of confusion and revtion. When had Cathy be so ruthless?

“What are you just standing there for?” Cathy’s gaze sliced through the air, icy and sharp as she noticed Jessa’s troubled expression. “Make the call now. If we dy any longer, they’ll be gone!”

Jessa’s lips tightened into a thin line as she reluctantly grabbed the phone. “Alright, alright…” she muttered.

Taking out the phone, Jessa dashed into the corridor and urgently dialed the leader of the men in ck. “Ram into their car?”

Inside the ck SUV, the man in ck scowled, his eyes fixed on the sleek Maserati ahead. “Are you sure? We can’t cover the cost of damaging that car!”

Jessa rolled her eyes dismissively. “Don’t worry. We’re handling the expenses here, okay?”

Belinda, who had recently gone through a tough divorce and was left with nothing, had little in the way of transportation options, and Fred, just a college student from a small vige, didn’t have much money either. What kind of luxury car could they possibly afford?

Hearing this, the man dressed in ck took a long, deliberate drag from his cigarette and replied curtly, “Fine, I’ll ram them.”

With a flick of his wrist, he tossed his phone aside and mmed his foot down on the gas pedal.

    “Kristopher.”

Ahead in the sleek ck Maserati, Belinda sat beside the driver, her eyes fixed on the pursuing vehicle in the rearview mirror. “Looks like they’re about to ram us,” she noted calmly.

Though she hadn’t been behind the wheel long, Belinda’s past as nearly a professional racer gave her a keen understanding of the eleration patterns of the car chasing them. “They’re speeding up. If we don’t pick up our pace in the next five seconds, it’ll be toote.”

Kristopher’s expression darkened as he pressed the elerator further, muttering under his breath, “Madman. Who on earth did Fred cross this time?”

The idea of someone chasing them down to crash into their car seemed utterly reckless. Was it merely because Fred had posted some evidence against Cathy and revealed her information online like Belinda said? Absolutely impossible.

Belinda’s gaze remained fixed on the mirror, her voice low and cautious. “He’s a simple guy from a small vige in the countryside, studying at Nawrin University. Apart from his part-time jobs, the only wealthy people he’s managed to offend are you and Cathy.”<fn0e5f> Fresh chapters posted on find?novel</fn0e5f>
