Chapter 277

    ?Chapter 277:

Once inside, Kristopher signaled to the men. “I need to rify something with you both,” he called out.

Caught off guard, the two men hurried over to him. As they listened intently, their backs to the entrance, Belinda seized the moment. She took a deep breath, tiptoed, and stealthily slipped into the dormitory. Kristopher continued to grill the men about the details of the vans being driven away by the security guards just now, all the while keeping an eye on Belinda from the corner of his vision. Only when he was certain that Belinda had safely entered did he allow himself a brief sigh of relief. He then dismissed the two men and calmly followed in Belinda’s direction.

Using the navigation on her phone, Belinda located Fred hiding in a storage room between the fifth and sixth floors.<fn120e> Content originallyes from f?i?n?d?n?o?v?e?l?</fn120e>

“Belinda!” Fred eximed upon seeing her. His excitement was palpable as he reached out and embraced her. “It’s sote. I can’t believe you really came!”

The sudden embrace caught Belinda off guard, and she stiffened. It took her a moment to react, and even then, her arms hovered awkwardly in the air, unsure where to rest them. Sensing Fred’s fear, she attempted to reassure him, albeit awkwardly. “It’s alright, Fred. Don’t be scared.”

Fred, the tall, muscr man with tanned skin, was visibly moved, nearly to tears. “I didn’t think you’d actuallye when I asked for help… No woman has ever shown me such kindness, Belinda…”

“What are you doing?” The interruption was sharp, a low voice cutting through the emotion of the moment.

The atmosphere in the storage room shifted abruptly to silence. Fred looked up in shock, his eyes wide as he recognized the neer. “Why are you here?” He gasped, staring in disbelief.

“Why would I be here?” Kristopher scoffed dismissively. He extended his arm to separate the two who were embracing and quickly moved Belinda behind him for protection. “Without me, do you really think Belinda could safely enter a men’s dormitory alone at this hour?”

Fred’s expression soured. “Belinda, how could you…”

It was clear that Fred had figured out she hadn’te alone. A sensible woman like her would certainly seek help at such ate hour. He had assumed that backup would be someone like Madisyn or Darren, who she often mentioned.

But what he hadn’t anticipated was that Belinda had brought Kristopher along at such ate hour.

Sensing Fred’s surprise, Belinda whispered, “I’ll exin everythingter. Right now, we need to get you out of here.”

Before she could finish her sentence, the voices of several men in ck echoed from the corridor.

    “Stay quiet,” Kristopher whispered urgently.

He swiftly ushered both Belinda and Fred into a storage room and secured the door behind them. Momentster, footsteps and voices from the men in ck could be heard outside.

“Why haven’t we found him after such a long search? Could Fred have escaped?”

    “That’s unlikely.”

Another voice responded, “All the exits are covered by our men. Even if he jumped from a window, we’d find him. He’s got to still be inside the dormitory.”
