?Chapter 220:
“What the hell are you doing?” Maggie yelled, dashing toward them. She raised her hand, poised to strike Belinda.
Belinda rxed her hold on the ne, pondering how to apologize without revealing too much. Just then, Maggie raised her hand to strike her.
As Maggie’s hand neared her face, Belinda, caught by surprise, instinctively shut her eyes.
However, the expected p never came.
After a pause, Belinda cautiously opened her eyes.
In front of her, Kristopher was gripping Maggie’s wrist, his brow furrowed, and said, “Maggie, don’t be impulsive.”
He then addressed the staff member with short hair and a mask. “I’m sorry. My sister tends to overreact.”
After he spoke, he noticed the woman seemed vaguely familiar. He furrowed his brow once more. “Have we met before?” Inside, Belinda mocked the situation silently.
They hadn’t merely met.
They had lived together for three years. Now, on the first day of their divorce, he failed to recognize her behind the mask.
“Why are you apologizing to her?”
Maggie wrenched her wrist from Kristopher’s hold and red at Belinda. “Didn’t you notice she injured Cathy? She needs to be disciplined!”
“Maggie,” Cathy said softly. “Kristopher is considerate. Let’s drop it.” As she spoke, she touched her neck, where the ne had tightened. “It’s not painful. I’m okay. But…”
She took out a mirror and inspected her neck. “Does my neck look a bit red?”
“It does!”<fnfa41> Read full story at FιndNovel</fnfa41>
Maggie leaned in for a closer look at Cathy’s neck and said, “You almost bled!”
Belinda quirked an eyebrow and nced at Cathy’s neck without even thinking about it.
Cathy was exaggerating. There was just a faint red mark.
If Cathy were to lookter, the mark might have vanished.
She was clearly overreacting.
“Don’t you realize how crucial an actress’ image is?”
Seeing the mocking in Belinda’s eyes, Maggie instantly grew furious. She stormed toward Belinda, her hand raised to p her again. “You didn’t even apologize to Cathy. How dare you re at her like that?” Yet again, the p never reached Belinda’s face.
This time, it was Belinda herself who caught Maggie’s wrist in her grasp.
She looked at Maggie with an icy stare. To keep her identity hidden, Belinda lowered her voice and said sharply, “I was merely doing my job. It was Miss Miller who moved while I was untying the ne, causing herself to get hurt.”
Belinda then forcefully released Maggie’s wrist. For the sake of herpany, sheposed herself and said, “Miss Miller, I apologize for being slow to remove your ne and taking up your time. But it was not my intention to hurt you.”
After her apology, she approached Cathy and offered, “I can remove the ne for you in one minute.”
