Chapter 211

    ?Chapter 211:

She was all too aware that Kristopher had purchased this car just after she and Belinda hadpeted on the racetrack.

The letter praised Mrs. Cox for her outstanding racing skills, a woman clearly not her.

Realization dawned, and Cathy’s hands balled into tight fists at her sides, her eyes glittering dangerously as she red at Belinda.

“So, Cathy has a passion for racing too!” Helen broke the stifling silence with a cough, remarking, “No wonder Kristopher took her to the racetrackst time.”

Maggie quickly came to her senses and followed suit, advancing toward Cathy with a yful grin. “Cathy, you’ve kept your skills a well-guarded secret,” she teased, pressing a small box into Cathy’s hands. “This set of rings is for you and Kristopher. They’re really quite lovely!”

Cathy’s stern expression eased into a smile as she took the jewelry box. “Yes, they’re quite stunning indeed.”

Meanwhile, Belinda couldn’t help but feel a surge of amusement watching the scene unfold.

Just moments before, Maggie had dismissed the rings as cheap and tacky, believing Belinda had picked them out. However, upon learning they were a gift from the car dealership to Kristopher and Cathy, her tone shifted to one of admiration. Such hypocrisy.

“But…” A timid voice emerged from the crowd behind Kristopher. “The letter mentions that the car and rings belong to Mr. Cox and Mrs. Cox… Miss Miller isn’t Mrs. Cox yet, is she?”

Cathy’s grip on the jewelry box tightened, her knuckles whitening.

“It seems the staff made an error!” Maggie quickly countered, her cold stare quieting the questioner. “They probably thought the car was for Kristopher’s fiancée, hence they addressed it to Mrs. Cox. How were they to know Kristopher had such an audacious ex-wife?” And then, with a contemptuous snort, she added…

coldly, “And you know, Belinda hails from the countryside, right? She once worked as my grandfather’s maid. Since when do maids drive sports cars?” She sneered, her nce at Belinda dripping with mockery. “I bet she’s never evenid hands on a race car in her life!”

    Every journey starts at g?lnσν????s﹒??о??

Her words set off murmurs of agreement throughout the crowd.

“Exactly, it’s only someone like Miss Miller, whoes from wealth, who would know how to race. How could Belinda possibly understand anything about it?”

“I heard she’s so poor that she struggles to make ends meet, juggling multiple jobs to pay for college. When would she ever have the time or money for racing?”

“For someone like her, just holding a steering wheel is probably a dream, let alone racing…”<fn70a5> Th? link to the orig?n of this information r?sts ?n FindN()vel</fn70a5>

Allen listened to the hurtfulments, his fists tightening in anger. “You know nothing about Belinda!” he yelled.

Belinda wasn’t just capable of racing. She was the best driver he had ever witnessed.

These people werepletely oblivious to her skills!

His voice boomed across the crowd, drawing all eyes to him, including Kristopher’s cold, scrutinizing stare.

Elliott, recalling the quarrel in the group chat, worried Allen would stir up more problems. He leaned close, cautioning in a hushed tone, “Allen, you’re drunk.”
