?Chapter 204:
What was she doing here?
When Kristopher suddenly froze, Elliott and the others immediately followed his gaze.
“Is that… Belinda?” Elliott blurted out, his eyes widening in shock.
A silent pause hung in the air before he turned to Kristopher, his voice tinged with disbelief. “Kristopher, do you think she’s having second thoughts about the divorce? Maybe she’se to plead for a second chance?”
Kristopher’s eyes narrowed, yet he remained silent.
The group behind him buzzed with spection. “That has to be it! Everyone knows Mr. Cox reserved the entire bar tonight to toast his new freedom. She wouldn’t show up unless she was looking to make amends.”
“In our group chat today, we bet she’d regret her decision within a week. Looks like she didn’t even make it half a day!”
“Too eager, that one. The Cox family really spoiled her rotten. She has some nerve, leaving Mr. Cox like that.”
The whispers around him coaxed a smirk from Kristopher’s lips. He had suspected as much.
Belinda wasn’t ready to let go.
Kristopher wondered if her regret was driven by the allure of the Cox family’s wealth and power, or if it was something more personal.
With that lingering thought, he quickened his pace towards Belinda, his entourage trailing closely behind him. As they drew nearer, they finally noticed three women standing alongside Belinda, who until then had been obscured, perhaps by the dim streetlights or simply because Belinda herself shone so brightly.
Belinda’s voice, clear and melodious, cut through the night as they approached. “I’m here strictly for my own reasons.”
Maggie snorted derisively. “What possible business could you have here? Clearly, you regret the divorce and havee crawling back to make amends!”

She continued with hostility, “From causing a spectacle at Grandpa’s birthday banquet to stirring up trouble online and dragging Cathy into it, you ended up divorcing. And now here you are, groveling? Just how desperate are you, Belinda?”
Belinda fixed Maggie with a frosty look, her tone even. “Maggie, it seems my leverage over you isn’t quite as intimidating as I thought.”
Maggie’splexion nched at the reminder of her scandals, and she turned away, defiantly breaking eye contact with Belinda. “You might think you can threaten me with that dirt, but let me warn you. Release it and cross me, and you’ll never be wee in the Cox family again!”
Belinda’s sneer was sharp. “That would be a relief.”
Maggie clenched her teeth in frustration, eventually falling into silence. Noticing her quiet, Cathy looked troubled and turned to Helen. “Helen, maybe it was a mistake to suggest wee out for some air… If I hadn’t, we wouldn’t have stumbled upon Miss Nelson trying to make amends with Kristopher, and Belinda wouldn’t feel this humiliated and quarrel with Maggie. It’s all so ufortable…”
Actually, Cathy had seen the limited-edition red Ferrari parked outside and had purposefully brought Helen and Maggie along to investigate. The car’s sleek design and meticulous detailing showed that it was a car for women.
Through her extensivework, Cathy had learned that Kristopher was purchasing this luxurious car, likely as a present for someone. The sight of the car had sparked her curiosity, prompting her to bring her friends to get a closer look.<fnbd83> Find the newest release on fινdnοvel</fnbd83>
