?Chapter 182:
He sighed wistfully. “What a shame.”
Allen chuckled in response. “It’s all good. Now that Belinda and Kristopher are splitting up, I might still have my chance.”
Anthony’sughter joined Allen’s as he saw the confident grin on the younger man’s face. “Indeed, once they’re divorced, they’ll part ways. You’ve got plenty to offer, Allen; pursuing Belinda could well be within your reach.”
Allen’s eyes sparkled with unexpected joy at Anthony’s supportive stance. “Really, Anthony? You’d be okay with me going after Belinda?”
With a hearty chuckle, Anthony replied, “Of course, why would I object? That’s entirely up to you two. Just because they’re divorced doesn’t mean we should hold Belinda to that pastmitment and deny her the chance to find someone new. Moreover…”
Anthony paused, sighing deeply. “Kristopher was the one who failed Belinda first by getting involved with Cathy. It’s not our ce, as the Cox family, to stop her from seeking happiness elsewhere.”
As Belinda and Kristopher approached the room, they overheard Anthony expressing heartfelt sentiments about Belinda’s potential new romance post-divorce.
Gripping the breakfast bags tightly, Belinda listened intently at the door.
Anthony’s words, focused solely on her perspective, filled her with warmth. Despite having no initial ns for a new rtionship after her divorce, Anthony’s understanding and open-mindedness deeply moved her. Beside her, Kristopher noticed the gratitude in her eyes, and his brow furrowed in concern.

Allen’s voice, cheerful and light, floated through the door. “Perhaps I should seriously consider pursuing Belinda.”
“No worries.” Anthony’sughter filled the room. “You’re a dependable young man, and I’d be at ease if Belinda were with someone like you. But let fate take its course. If it’s not meant to be, don’t push it. However, if things do work out, expect a generous gift from me at your wedding!”

Allen’s voice brightened. “Well, with a gift on the line, I’ll certainly put my heart into it…”
Before Allen could finish, the door swung open. Kristopher, standing in the doorway with a look of anger clouding his features, fixed his gaze on Allen. “Should I also start nning to bring a big gift, then?”
Allen’s smile froze abruptly. He shot an awkward nce over his shoulder at Kristopher and Belinda. “Kristopher, I was just kidding. Why are you so scared to admit it?”
Unlike Allen’s difort, Anthony was blunt. He scoffed. “You didn’t value Belinda, so it’s only natural someone else will! If you’re serious about divorcing her, why does it bother you if someone else is interested?”
Then, turning to Allen, he continued, “I like Allen. Sure, he’s juste back to the country and his career isn’t much yet, but at least his personal life isn’t a mess. Not like some, who treat a former lover who ditched them first as if she’s gold!”
Anthony’s sharp words made Kristopher frown. “Grandpa, I’ve tried to exin. You’re mistaken about Cathy. She…”
“I don’t want to hear that name!” Anthony interrupted sternly. “Don’t bring her up again!”
