?Chapter 75:
Belinda’s brow furrowed as she watched the ambnce vanish into the darkness.
Something about Kristopher rushing Cathy to Peace Hospital reminded her of the phone call from Marlene.
The man desperate to purchase her medication had mentioned that his girlfriend was in acute distress and needed the drugs urgently. Now, Kristopher was hurriedly taking Cathy—who also imed to be distressed—to the same hospital.
Could it be that Kristopher was the man Marlene mentioned?
The idea flickered through her mind, but Belinda quickly dismissed it. She knew all too well the grim reality ofte-stage stomach cancer. Cathy, whom she had seen looking healthy and vibrant in the VIP ward, certainly didn’t share her affliction.
“Belinda?”
Madisyn’s voice pulled her from her thoughts, waving a hand in front of her face. “What’s on your mind?”
Belinda snapped out of her reverie with a smile. “Oh, it’s nothing.” She bent down to pick up her bag, which held her racing suit. “Did you figure out how much I earned today at the races?”
Madisyn’s face brightened. “Absolutely! You pulled in a whopping 3,548,000! I’ve lost millions to those kids over the years, but today we got it all back!”
She slung an arm around Belinda’s shoulders as they started to leave. “If only Cathy hadn’t yed dirty, we’d be counting over 500 million plus our winnings today!”
Belinda returned the smile but steered away from the sensitive subject. “With all this cash, what’s the n for celebrating tonight?”
Madisyn shed a mischievous smile. “We’re going to… rx!” With a firm grip, she pulled Belinda out of the hospital and into their waiting car.

Thirty minutester, they pulled up to a renowned massage parlor.
Belinda stepped out and chuckled upon seeing the sign. “I thought by ‘rx’ you meant hitting a bar or something.”
Madisyn just shook her head. “Bars aren’t the only ces to unwind. Plus, you’ve been behind the wheel all day. You need a real break. Trust me, this ce has some of the best masseuses around. You’re going to love it.”
With augh, Belinda allowed herself to be ushered inside.
Unfortunately, they hadn’t booked in advance, and Madisyn’s favorite masseuses were all fully booked.
Madisyn was ready to leave, but Belinda, too tired to move again, suggested they give two apprentices a try.
The session didn’t go well. The apprentice assigned to Belinda was too rough, leaving her with bruises on her arms and red marks along her neck.
The owner of the massage parlor apologized deeply and offered them aplimentary session to make amends.
As they settled back into the car, Madisyn nced over at Belinda’s red marks with a worried expression. “We’re definitely noting back here! Does it hurt a lot?”<fn912f> Chapters first released on findnovel</fn912f>
Belinda grimaced and adjusted her cor to hide the marks. “Do these look like hickeys?”
“They kinda do,” Madisyn replied, eyeing them closely. “Make sure you cover those up tomorrow when you go to finalize your divorce from Kristopher. Knowing that jerk, he’d jump at the chance to im you were unfaithful!”
