Josie’s tear soaked red eyes darted over to Christian…her re was deathly. Christian took a step in
out of natural reaction.
Josie’s voice became eerily calm.
<i>“</i>Spazz out? You think <i>THIS </i><i>is </i>spazzing out? <i>Oh </i><i>dear </i>‘<i>brother</i><i>…</i><i>you </i><i>have </i>no idea<i>.</i><i>” </i>
Christian could feel his face pale. What the hell happened between yesterday and today to tick her off so bad. Josie’s gaze fell back on Vanessa.
<i>“</i><i>It </i><i>wasn’t </i><i>enough </i><i>I </i>went <i>to prison </i>for <i>your </i><i>murder </i><i>under </i><i>the </i><i>lie </i><i>that </i><i>my </i><i>grandmother </i><i>would </i>be taken <i>care </i><i>of</i>…<i>you </i><i>had </i><i>try </i><i>and </i><i>have </i><i>her </i><i>destroyed </i><i>too</i><i>.</i>”
Laura’s eyes widen in shocked. She quickly looked at Josie in disbelief.
<i>“</i><i>Josie</i><i>…</i><i>what </i><i>are </i><i>you </i><i>talking </i><i>about</i>?? <i>Nessie </i><i>would </i><i>nev-</i><i>” </i>
<i>“</i><i>I </i><i>don’t </i><i>give </i>a <i>shit </i><i>about </i><i>what </i><i>‘</i><i>Nessie</i><i>‘ </i><i>would </i><i>do</i><i>….</i><i>there </i>is <i>a </i><i>whole </i><i>security </i><i>video </i><i>of </i><i>VANESSA demanding </i><i>they </i><i>throw </i><i>my </i><i>grandmother’s </i><i>ashes </i><i>out </i><i>two </i><i>days </i><i>after </i><i>she died</i><i>. </i><i>If </i><i>it </i><i>hadn’t </i><i>been </i><i>for </i><i>my </i><i>grandmother </i><i>assigning </i><i>her </i><i>next </i><i>of </i><i>kin</i><i>…</i><i>you </i><i>couldn’t </i><i>even </i><i>let </i><i>me </i><i>bury </i><i>her. </i><i>Even </i><i>after </i><i>you </i><i>came </i><i>to </i><i>torment </i><i>me </i><i>in </i><i>prison </i><i>about </i><i>how </i>she <i>died</i><i>. </i><i>About </i><i>how </i><i>your </i><i>bothers</i><i>, </i><i>your </i><i>mother</i><i>, </i><i>and </i><i>you </i><i>FATHER </i><i>LIED</i><i>!</i><i>” </i>
“<i>Even </i><i>after </i><i>you </i><i>tormented </i><i>me </i><i>about </i><i>how </i><i>I </i><i>fucked </i><i>my </i><i>life </i><i>up </i><i>for </i><i>nothing</i>!!! <i>Because </i><i>they </i>NEVER <i>had </i><i>any </i><i>intentions </i><i>on </i><i>helping </i><i>her</i><i>! </i><i>You </i><i>still </i><i>had </i><i>to </i><i>try </i><i>and </i><i>do </i><i>that</i><i>? What </i><i>did </i><i>I </i><i>ever </i><i>do </i><i>to </i><i>you </i><i>Vanessa</i>….‘

Everyone stood around in shock, not saying a word. Vanessa’s face grew ashen; she’d honestly forgotten about that day. Josie picked up her bag and walked back towards the door.
<i>“</i>I’m <i>putting </i>a <i>request </i><i>in </i>to <i>have </i>a <i>change </i><i>of </i><i>address</i><i>…</i><i>if </i><i>I </i><i>stay </i><i>here</i>…I’ll <i>only </i><i>end </i><i>up </i><i>back </i><i>in </i><i>jail</i><i>…</i><i>this </i><i>time </i><i>for </i><i>something </i><i>I did </i>do. <i>You </i><i>people </i><i>aren’t </i><i>conducive </i><i>to </i><i>my </i><i>health</i><i>.</i><i>” </i>
Josie walked back out leaving the entire family shocked and torn for words.
A few momentster, Laura looked over at Vanessa. Tears were flooding her face.
“<i>Vanessa</i><i>…</i><i>tell </i><i>me </i><i>you </i><i>didn’t </i><i>do </i><i>what </i><i>she </i><i>said </i><i>you </i><i>did</i><i>.</i><i>” </i>
Vanessa looked up at her mother…very seldom did she ever call her Vanessa. She knew she was mad, trying to lie wouldn’t help this situation. So she tried to minimize her damage.

“Mom it’s not like the <i>makes </i>it sound.”
“Then have is it?”

Harold spoke next; his voice was filled with anger. He had been trying to figure out how losie learned the truth; and to know it was Vanessa.
“Why would you be so stupid<i>!!!</i>”
“Harold calm down!!”
“Mom, dad is right!”
Both Laura and Vanessa looked at Christian with a shocked expression. He’d never been angry with Vanessa before, but it was very clear…right now he was furious.
<i>“</i>Chris…I-”
“Did you think of what could <i>happen </i><i>if </i>she told the truth<i>!! </i>If she insisted <i>they </i><i>dig </i><i>into </i>the case further??? Josie had a solid <i>alibi </i>for <i>that </i><i>day</i><i>! </i><i>What </i><i>the </i><i>hell </i><i>were </i><i>you </i><i>thinking </i>provoking her<i>!</i><i>” </i>
Jamie stood up. He didn’t care what the situation was, he didn’t want anyone yelling at his little sister or making her cry!
“Hey, chill out <i>Chris</i>.”
<i>‘</i><i>Chill </i>out<i>? </i>Do you <i>understand </i><i>what </i><i>the </i><i>hell </i>is <i>going </i><i>on</i><i>? </i>Or <i>do </i><i>you </i><i>relish </i><i>on </i><i>being </i><i>clueless</i><i>?</i>”
“<i>Hey </i><i>fuck </i><i>you</i><i>! </i><i>If </i>you <i>cared </i><i>so </i><i>much </i><i>about </i><i>her </i><i>grandmother </i><i>then </i><i>you </i><i>should </i><i>have </i><i>honored </i><i>her </i><i>conditions</i>! Besides…<i>that </i><idy </i><i>was </i><i>just </i>as <i>much </i><i>Ness</i><i>‘ </i><i>grandmother </i><i>than </i><i>Josie</i><i>…</i><i>hell </i><i>if </i><i>not </i><i>more</i><i>! </i><i>She </i><i>wasn’t </i><i>even </i>blood <i>rted</i>.<i>” </i>
Christian sneered at his brother.
“<i>So </i>does <i>than </i><i>mean </i>Josie is <i>more </i><i>of </i><i>your </i><i>sister </i><i>than </i><i>Vanessa</i><i>?</i><i>” </i>
<i>“</i>No <i>that-</i><i>” </i>
Realizing his hypocrisy, Jamie immediately shut his mouth. Laura looked back at Vanessa<b>, </b>pain filled
in her eyes.

“Nessie…you don’t hate your sister…do you<i>?</i><i>” </i>
Before she could answer; Jamie responded.
“Of course <i>she </i>doesn’t! Josie was just being dramatic<i>! </i>Honestly <i>that </i>whole thing was ridiculous!<i>” </i>
Just then, Christian’s assistant texted him letting him know he emailed over a report from the woman’s prison where Josie was at for four years.
