I copsed against the pillows on the massive bed, my sweaty chest rising and falling rapidly as my lungs fought for air.

Harper’s voluptuous figure still trembled against the sheets like she could still feel me inside her even though I’d already pulled out.

I threw one arm over her sweaty stomach like I owned her and thest hour felt like I did.

The silence carried on for a while with just the sound of us breathing hard until I let out a low chuckle.

“Fuck.” My voice was rough and still dripping with lust. “If you ride me like that ever again, I’m sending you an invoice for damages.”

She raised her head slightly. “Damages?”

I smirked, moving my body closer. “You were bouncing on my cock like you were trying to kill me…aggressive little thing.”

She knew I was right, but she just didn’t want to admit it and even looked away.

“Now you want to act all innocent?” I grabbed her chin so she could face me again. “I like when you’re in control, but don’t forget who you’re in bed with. I’ll always pin you down

    where I want.”

She looked like she had aeback ready but before she could speak up, I flipped her over and shey t on her stomach, my hand gently wrapping around the front part of her neck as I teased her ass with the tip of my hard cock.

Harper had fucked me like there was something she needed to forget and while It came as a fucking pleasant surprise, I was in total control this time, keeping her pinned down however I liked and there was something so sexy about watching her surrender to me.

I opened the fridge in the kitchen for some water when Harper’s voice came from the doorway,

“Can I have a ss, too?” she said, approaching the counter and resting her elbows on it.

She was wearing nothing but my shirt, the same one I’d given herst time and she looked sexy in it with her thick thighs on disy and that damp and messy bun.

As I poured both of us some water, I noticed her constantly ncing at her phone screen with her thumb hovering over it.

“You know,” I began, “you make it look like the screen is going to bite you and that’s why you’re not doing anything.” My voice was teasing.

She shrugged, trying to brush it off while still staring at the screen. “It’s nothing.”

“Nothing?” I repeated, approaching her with two sses. “You’ve checked it at least five times in thest thirty seconds. That’s not nothing. It’s 1 AM, a new day and that means it’s Anna’s birthday.”

Her head shot up in surprise. “How did you know that?”

I stopped right next to her but she didn’t even look down at the water. Her continued surprise as her eyes were locked on mine was amusing to watch.

“You haven’t sent your sister a lovely message to wish her a happy birthday in the years, but this time is different because she’s turning thirty.”

    past

    few

She was speechless for a few seconds, then finally blinked rapidly. “Hold on, seriously, how do you know all that?”

“You’re the one who told me.” I pressed her ss against her arm.

She took it, narrowing her eyes at me. “I’m the one who told you?”

“Where else do you think I heard it? From Grayson?”

Her expression shifted at the mention of his name, like she didn’t want to hear it. Must have been because she’d heard about Tiffany’s pregnancy.

“But…I don’t remember telling you anything,” she said.

“Remember that night you were drunk?” I raised my eyebrows. “That’s when you told me. Actually, you told me a lot of things. You just started talking about Anna’s birthday and didn’t know what to do. It was kind of hard to give you my advice because I don’t know the full story between you two and you didn’t give me the details, like it hurt.”

She huffed as she took a seat. “I…I don’t know if I should wish her a happy birthday.”

I nced at her screen and she had already typed a long message.

“Come on. What’s the worst that could happen?” I said, taking a seat beside her.

“You don’t understand. It’s not that simple.”

“Then make me understand. I’ve always been curious, you know. On second thought, you don’t actually have to-”

“No, it’s okay.” She took a sip before speaking, tightening her fingers around the ss of water. “Anna’s my half–sister,” she finally said. “We only share the same mom and never met our dads. That’s why we kept herst name. After I was born, the resemnce was so strong that we looked like we shared the same parents.”

“Yup, I remember seeing her a few times. Your mom’s genes were quite strong.”

I thought that would get augh out of her, but she turned even more serious as her dropped to the surface of the counter, like something lingered there.

    gaze

“My sister and I were very close but everything changed after mom died. She got in trouble and was locked up for five years. When she was released, she was a totally different person and started pushing me away.”

“Why?” I rested my elbows against the counter, watching her carefully.

“She couldn’t keep a rtionship and kept making bad choices. She thought she was a bad influence on me and didn’t want to drag me into her mess, so one day, she left town without saying a word.”

Her lips trembled, like she wanted to say more, but she only managed to slump her shoulders like there was so much weight pressing down on her and it twisted something in me.

“Even with all that, you loved her.” My voice was soft.

She swallowed hard, tears glistening in her eyes. “I still do. I wanted to stay close, but she wouldn’t let me.”

Seeing her like that was…unsettling. Maybe it was because she was hurting in a way I could rte to, even if I’d never admit it.

“So…” she said it loudly even as she trailed off while patting her eyes. “What else did I say that night? Tell me everything.”

She chuckled and that instantly brightened the mood a little.

“You better be ready, lots of embarrassing shiting up,” I yfully warned her.

    “I can take it.”

“Of course you can.” I smirked, licking my bottom lip as I nced at her thighs.

She rolled her eyes at me with a scoff.

“Well, you were celebrating the fact that you didn’t give in to your heart’s desires. Grayson was right there with you on your bed but you had the power to resist.”

She looked inside her ss of water like she could see herself in that moment. “I don’t remember telling you that either, but yes, that’s how proud I was. It was like my biggest test and I passed. I’ve spent years wishing for something like that, but it wasn’t worth it at all. I just couldn’t do it, not even kiss him.”

“I’m d it didn’t happen. He’s married to my sister and that would have been cheating on her. It doesn’t matter if you two are friends.”

“Were,” she corrected me with a frown.

    “What happened?”

She narrowed her eyes like she didn’t believe me. “Don’t tell me you don’t know about Tiffany.”

    “That she’s pregnant?”

    “No, the other part.”

    “What other part?”

“You really don’t know?” She poked her cheek. “They must have decided to keep it to themselves because they thought it was bullshit.”

She scrolled on her phone, then handed it to me when she got to some pictures and videos of Tiffany kissing Josh.

As she told me what had happened earlier, her voice cracked a few times like she was about to cry. She couldn’t even look at me.

“I would have never thought that Tiffany and Josh would be a thing, considering how she used to make fun of him,” I said. “But how is your proof considered fake and what Kate took of you is considered to be authentic?”

She ced her hand on my arm with wide eyes. “Yes! That’s exactly what I said! You really believe me.” Her voice turned quiet towards the end.

I looked down at her hand on my arm and she quickly pulled back. She and I had fucked so many times, but why did that simple touch feel…different?

Snapping out of it and looking up at her face again, I said, “Of course I believe you. Grayson just doesn’t want to see it.”

“I was ready to do everything in my power to prove just how real this is, but I realised it’s not

worth it. We’re not even friends anymore. He fucking blocked me.”

As soon as she said it, I raised the corner of my mouth for a split second. Maybe hearing all that was some good news to me.

But I could see just how much it was hurting her, like she was fighting back tears again. How could she not feel that way when she lost someone like that and someone who didn’t even care enough to take her side? Tiffany always came first whenever Grayson had to make a choice or pick a side. I couldn’t wait for the day he’d finally see the truth with his own eyes and I wasn’t even about to get involved to try and convince him. He chose to be blind.

It actually bothered me to see Harper like that and I thought that was the perfect moment to slightly switch things up..

“There’s something else you said to me that night while you were drunk as fuck,” I said. “Ready to sink into the floor out of embarrassment?”

She closed her eyes, like it was going to make her cringe so hard that she didn’t want to know.

“I don’t know if I should hear this.” She hesitated with a nervous smile.

“I thought you said you could take it.” I teased her.

    “I don’t know.”

“I’m just messing with you,” I admitted.

She shook her head in disbelief. “You already had my heart racing for nothing. I hate you. So, what was it?”

    “You called me a hypocrite.”
