Grayson’s jaw dropped before smiling through the shock. “You–you’re pregnant?”
Tiffany nodded, cing her hands on his chest with soft sobs. “Yes, we’re going to have a baby.”
He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead like she was the most precious thing in the world.
They spoke to each other in hushed and loving tones about a beautiful future together and I watched as my proof burned uselessly in his hand since he still had my phone.
He didn’t even look at me when they broke the hug and he wrapped his arm around her waist to walk her back to the passenger seat.
After opening and closing the door for her like a perfect gentleman, he began to make his way back to me, but he wasn’t even my focus.
She rolled down the window and poked her head out with a faint triumphant smile that only I could see.
I should have told him to look back and see what was going on with her, but what difference was that going to make?
It was only when he was right in front of me that I focused on him, his forehead veins popping out
As he handed me back my phone, he looked to the side before I could even take it. He made me feel like the sight of me was disgusting.
I reached for my phone to take it from him but he set it free before I even had a firm grip, like he wasn’t going to give a fuck if it dropped to the ground and broke.
I caught it quickly as a reflex, then scoffed as I looked down at the screen, a tear now running down my cheek.
“Oh, now you’re going to cry?” He mocked me in a harsh tone. “Just because your n backfired? My wife decided to put aside her revenge just so we could all start over and here you are, not willing to let it go.”
“You really chose not to believe me, not that it’s anything new.” My voice was quiet, like I was still processing everything.

“What’s there to believe when you faked it all?”

“You know what’s so fucked up?” I sniffled as I wiped my tear. “You only dismissed my proof, calling it fake even after seeing Josh’s face, but you didn’t do the same when it came to the proof of me stalking her. How is that even fair?”
“Now you’re just pissing me off even more. Still trying to make me believe that what you have here is real?”
I chuckled.
“Now this is funny to you?” He scowled.
“I was there. I saw it so how can it not be funny when I just figured out what’s going on? You’ve just decided to be blind to the truth. Anyone can see that I’m not lying. The day wille when you’ll see the truth with your own eyes. Don’t say I didn’t w-”
“Just shut up!” He snapped, getting closer to yell in my face. “Haven’t you already done enough? You know what? It was my mistake for letting us get close again. I should have kept things as they were when you returned to town!”
His words broke me so hard that I was about to burst into tears, not because he was mad at me, but because he still chose to keep being with Tiffany despite everything I had told him.
“You know what?” I sniffled.
“What is it this time?” He sighed with irritation.
“Fuck you!”
His lips parted, but it took him a few seconds to speak and I took that chance to make things
clear between us.
“I’ve always stood by you and tried to show you the truth, but-”
“I never asked you to do any of that for me! I don’t even know why I’m still here listening to this shit.” He stormed off to his car, ncing back at me. “Just stay away from us!”
He mmed the door loudly once he was inside.
As the car drove past me, Tiffany smirked at me before rolling up her window,
I froze in ce even after the car disappeared at the corner, my hand clenched tightly around my phone.
I dragged my feet back inside the house and it was only when I came to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror that I realized I was still crying over him…someone who never

After wiping my tears, I pressed the palms of my hands t against the frame of the mirror to make a promise to myself. That was thest time that I was going to cry over him. He didn’t deserve my tears. He never did.
My desire to expose the truth had ruined our friendship and for as long as he was not going to apologize to me, I wasn’t going to beg for him, never.
I drew in a long breath with my eyes closed and as I exhaled, I opened my eyes while nodding to myself.
I leaned over to wash the tears away and when I stood upright again with a towel to wipe my face, I could still see the redness in my eyes but it didn’t make me feel awful this time. I was going to stick to my promise.
Every word he’d said to me yed in my head even as I pushed through my work on myputer. I needed to get it done, or at least most of it. I pressed the keys harder than usual, only because I was still fuming, but as the minutes went by, I was in control.
It took me a few hours and when I was done, I came to the kitchen to make myself something to eat but my phone buzzed on the counter before I could even open the fridge.
It was a message from Maddox and I meant to open our thread so I could read in full but ended up opening the one below and that was Grayson’s.
I wanted to click off quickly but paused when I saw the red text at the bottom. He had blocked

me.

I shut my eyes and snickered, only because I wasn’t expecting him to take it that far, but I didn’t even bother to check if I’d been blocked anywhere else. That was more than enough for me to get the picture.
Finally clicking off, I read Maddox’s message and my lips curved into a small smile.
“You better get your pretty ass to the jet on time. It’s ready for you. Make sure you pack everything you need or nothing at all. It doesn’t matter. Just get here on time.”
I couldn’t tell if he still had no idea that my n had blown up in my face, but he didn’t make me feel broken. He just wanted me in London…and I would soon be on my way to him.
