The assistant kept quiet, silently weighing his options about quitting.

The Schultz Group has been just an empty shell for ages now–can’t even pay his sry, so who’s even talking about reviving it?

He’d figured out these past few days that the Schultz Group was being deliberately targeted.

And it was the Garcia Group leading the attack, making no effort to hide it.

Back when Xylia and Joshua’s rtionship was blowing up online, the assistant was pretty sure Joshua was helping Xylia get her revenge.

On top of all that, the Sadler Group seemed to be making sneaky moves against the Schultz Group too.

A bunch of deals that were supposed to go to the Schultz Group got swiped by the Sadler Group–they stole them right out from under their noses.

And when he thought about how Xylia switched her surname over to Sadler after moving to Norhill, the assistant figured their feud probably had something to do with Xylia’s family drama.

Maybe Xylia had finally found her real family–the Sadler brothers.

As far as he was concerned, he was just a regr employee–stuff like this was way above his pay grade.

He just needed a stable gig to keep his family afloat.

If the Schultz Group couldn’t even pay him properly, he had to jump ship before things got any worse.

Just as he was about to bring up quitting, Ziggy suddenly stood up.

“Is everyone trying to bail right now?” Ziggy asked.

The assistant hesitated before answering, “Yeah, pretty much.”

“Go tell those who stick it out with thepany–once the Schultz Group makes aeback, they’ll get the reward they deserve. But if anyone betrays and jumps ship now, good luck surviving in Jupiton,” Ziggy said coldly.

The assistant mmed up, not daring to mention quitting again.

Ziggy had always been the untouchable prince of the elite–when it came to making someone’s life hell, there was nobody who could stop him.

After the assistant left, Ziggy’s phone buzzed–it was Tessa calling.

He was starting to get really sick of her.

Ever since the Schultz Group hit rock bottom, Tessa hadn’t given a damn about the family. All she cared

Now that Connor had dumped her, she was suddenly acting like she gave a shit about them again.

    Ziggy answered the phone.

“Ziggy, I’ve got some huge news for you,” Tessa said, her voice all excited.

“Oh yeah? Connor’s finally gonna throw us some cash?” Ziggy said.

“Typical, Ziggy thought, his toneced with sarcasm.

Sure enough, Tessa whined, “After everything that’s happened between us, he won’t even look my way. How am I supposed to even ask him for money now?”

She was doing her usual cutesy act, trying to get his sympathy like she always did.

In the past, if Ziggy heard his little sister in trouble, he wouldn’t have thought twice about helping her out. He’d even feel sorry for her.

But now? He didn’t feel even a shred of sympathy–her needy attitude just annoyed him.

Unlike Tessa, Xylia had always cared deeply about him and the family. Even when times were tough for her, she kept it all inside so they wouldn’t worry.

“If you’re not asking for money, then I’m hanging up,” Ziggy said coldly.

“No, don’t hang up, Ziggy! Seriously, it’s super important!” Tessa begged, her voice shrill.

Ziggy clenched his jaw, irritation bubbling up inside him.

“Just spit it out. What’s so important?” he said, clearly annoyed.

“Hey, Ziggy, did you hear Xylia goes by Xylia now?” Tessa said, sounding like she was breaking news.

“It’s just a name change. Why should I care?” Ziggy replied, not even bothering to hide his indifference.

Xylia had cut them offpletely; changing herst name was only natural. Nothing surprising about it— why make such a fuss?

“But Sadler isn’t just a surname–she’s the Sadler family’s daughter, the one who’s been missing for years!” Tessa blurted out, barely able to contain her excitement.

“What?” Ziggy snapped upright, totally stunned.

“You mean she’s really the Sadler family’s lost daughter?” he asked, disbelief clear in his voice.

Tessa spilled everything she knew, making sure Ziggy understood that when Xylia was hanging out with Kaden and the others, it wasn’t romance or drama–they’re real siblings, not like that at all,

Ziggy listened, and for a moment, he wasn’t sure what to think.

A hint of worry shed across his face; then, suddenly, he smacked his palm down on the table.

“So you’re telling me the Sadler family’s beening at us behind the scenes because of Xylia? She’s actually trying to get back at us?” Ziggy demanded, his anger boiling over.

“I’m not really sure, but maybe this news could be useful for the Schultz Group right now, don’t you think?” Tessa said, almost teasing.

With a sly, satisfied grin, she hung up the phone.

Ziggy was practically grinding his teeth, just imagining Xylia pulling Joshua and the whole Sadler family in to gang up on the Schultz Group.

Come on–they’d looked after her for years. Before Tessa returned, Xylia was basically the Schultz family’s little princess, with everyone spoiling her rotten.

They bent over backwards to make her happy.

Who would’ve thought she’d turn around and scheme against them the moment she came back? Talk about biting the hand that fed you.

Ziggy mmed the inte and snapped, “Book me the earliest flight you can find to Norhill–I’m heading out right now!”

Xylia didn’t go to the office today. Leaving Joshua behind, she set off to meet someone who meant a lot to her.

    Inside the café.

As soon as Xylia stepped in, she spotted her teacher sitting by a table.

Her eyes grew hot with emotion. She hurried over, a happy grin lighting up her face, addressing her teacher.

    “Teacher,” Xylia called out warmly.

Grace was so excited to see Xylia that she jumped to her feet, took Xylia’s hands, and checked her from head to toe, her eyes shining with unshed tears.

“I’m just d you’re here. That’s all that matters,” Grace said, her voice trembling with emotion.

Xylia and Grace had a bond that went way back–over ten years as teacher and student, and honestly, even closer than family.

Xylia started dancing practically as soon as she could walk, and out of a sea of hopefuls, Grace spotted her at a nce. She personally took Xylia under her wing, teaching her the art of ssical dance with hands–on care.

When Xylia was about to marry Connor, Grace had tried to talk some sense into her. “Trust me, marriage might sound perfect, but once you walk away from what you truly love, you’ll end up just feeling hollow inside,” Grace said, her voice sincere. Xylia could still remember those words–they’d stuck with her all these

    years.

Back then, Xylia really thought she and Connor were chasing their dreams together. She was totally convinced she made the right call.

But after all those years, she had to admit–her teacher was right.

“I’m so sorry, Miss Chase. I feel like I’ve let you down,” Xylia said, her voice thick with regret.

“Oh, you silly girl. There’s nothing to apologize for—it’s your life, your choices. You’ve always been my brightest star, and that never changed,” Grace replied, her eyes shining with pride.

Xylia choked up for a second, blinking back tears.

She wiped her eyes and grinned, helping Grace to sit down with her at the table.

“Let’s eat first, Miss Chase! It’s been way too long─I’ve missed you so much, we’ve gotta catch up properly,” Xylia said, sounding genuinely happy.

    “Absolutely,” Grace replied, smiling warmly.

After they’d ordered, Grace sat across from Xylia with perfect posture, her back straight and a gentle smile on her face as she watched her.

Grace was all ss—a truly dignifieddy, with decades in the dance industry behind her. Even just sitting there, she carried herself with grace and elegance, every movement refined from years of discipline.

“Your cheeks have such a healthy glow, and there’s real light in your eyes. I can tell you’ve been doing well since the divorce,” Grace remarked warmly.

Xylia couldn’t help but think of Joshua–the first image that sprung to her mind.

Her cheeks went a little pink, and she smiled warmly at Grace. “I really am doing great these days. How are you, Grace?”

Xylia nced Grace up and down and shed a rare, yful grin.

“You look healthy and full of energy. Your husband must be taking wonderful care of you,” Xylia joked.

They bantered lightheartedly, trading old stories andughter, totally at ease together.

Xylia shed a rare, gentle look of longing–a fondness she hadn’t let show in ages.

Only Grace ever saw this side of her–the quiet attachment reserved just for her teacher,

Today, Xylia decided she’d spend some real quality time with Grace, letting all her work pile up–her teacher came first.

“Grace, I haven’t been in Norhill for long, and I haven’t really had a chance to see the city yet. Once you’re done with this tour, how about I take you out and we explore it together?” Xylia offered warmly.

Xylia linked arms with Grace as they headed toward the Grand Hall together,

The touring schedule was packed, but Xylia made sure to be there with Grace, watching over the dance troupe’s rehearsal–just being the teacher’s support.

“That sounds great,” Grace replied, grinning. “We’ve never taken time off to just hang out together as teacher and student–this is the perfect chance to rx for once.”

“Let’s bring the old man along too–make it a family day out!” Xylia said with a grin.

“Ha, who knows if that grumpy old fellow is even willing to go anywhere far,” Grace teased, chuckling.

As they chatted and made their way to the rehearsal studio, Xylia walked in–only to find herself face to face with thest person she wanted to run into today.

    Standing right there was… Tessa.
