Kaden looked at Joshua, “Has the matter in Kregonia been resolved?”
“Yes,” Joshua said.
Kaden mentioned the incident involving Xylia’s kidnapping that urred a few days ago.
“We finally managed to bring our sister back. I can’t let her have any chance of being hurt again.”
Joshua raised an eyebrow.
“What do you mean, Kaden?”
Every time Joshua called Kaden’s name, Kaden felt a sudden throb between his brows.
He was provoked to anger.
“Don’t call me that. Also, I do not approve of Xylia being with you.”
Joshua continued to smile, though the smile in his eyes had long since vanished.

“You disapprove of Xylia being with me? Are you trying to dictate Xylia’s life just because of some blood rtionship?”
Kaden said, “It’s not about arranging her life, but about helping her avoid danger. Being by your side is very dangerous. Her kidnappingst time was a wake–up call.”
Joshua indeed experienced lingering fear in retrospect after Xylia was kidnapped.
He hesitated briefly, but still persisted.
“I’ve already dealt with those people. This won’t happen again.”
“You think just saying it wouldn’t happen means it really wouldn’t?” Kaden’s voice became a bit colder.
“Although the Garcia family has maintained a low profile for many years, they offended quite a few people in the past. Many of those around you have already been through all sorts of bad luck. You still gonna pull Xylia into this mess right now?”
Joshua fell silent.
Kaden continued, “She is unaware of theplexities within the Garcia family, but I will not stand by and watch her, who has only just returned, jump into your pit of fire. Mr. Garcia, conduct yourself with restraint. Do not approach her again. This is my warning.”
After Kaden finished speaking, he turned and walked away.
Joshua clenched his fists tightly, unable to utter a single word in rebuttal.

He turned around and got into the car, leaving the Sadler Mansion.
When Kaden returned to the living room, he found that Xylia was no longer there.
He asked Cyrus, who was beside him, “Where is Xylia?”
‘Didn’t she have something to say to me?‘ Kaden wondered.
Hudson told Kaden everything that had just happened and said a Co. of words in defense of Xylia.
“She is currently devoted to Joshua, so her remarks inevitably show partiality toward him.”
Kaden shook his head. “That’s not partiality.”
He appeared to sigh.
“Joshua appeared before our Xylia earlier than we did, and the person she relies on more is Joshua, not us.”
Hudson and Cyrus exchanged a nce and remained silent.

Joshua was not in a good mood.
I had intended to go to the racetrack to vent my frustration by racing, but received an urgent call from Eliza.
She told him to go back, saying that Noelle was waiting for him at home.
Joshua thought for a bit and realized that Noelle was really a pain in the neck.
He turned the steering wheel and drove toward Garcia Mansion in Norhill.
The rain was pouring down hard, but it was gone in a sh.
When Joshua returned, the rain had nearly stopped.
He drove the car to the entrance, opened the car door, got out, and entered the house.
Upon entering the living room, a thin veil of rain vapor enveloped him.

Eliza, Aaron, and Noelle were sitting in the living room, chatting happily. Nobody knew what they were chatting about.
When Joshua entered the room, Noelle reacted most strongly.
When she saw Joshua at the door, she immediately stood up and ran to the door to greet him.
“Joshua, you’re back.”
She wanted to help Joshua take the coat from his hands.
But he stepped aside a bit and dodged her outstretched hand.
“Come here. I have something to tell you.”
Having changed his shoes, Joshua walked around Noelle and headed toward the living room.
He saw Eliza pulling Aaron to leave and said calmly, “Everyone, sit down. I have to say something.”
Eliza and Aaron exchanged a nce and, after just starting to get up, sat back down.
Noelle had long been used to Joshua’s indifference and pretended not to see it.
All she needed was to see Joshua.
A smile returned to her lips as she followed Joshua back to the living room.
The long sofa in the living room was upied by Eliza and Aaron, leaving only the short sofa nearby. She moved toward Joshua, so she could naturally end up sitting beside him.
Unexpectedly, Joshua walked straight to the inconspicuous single sofa and sat down.
Noelle bit her lower lip and sat down on the short sofa.
Eliza noticed the rainwater on Joshua’s hair and couldn’t help but frown.
“Did you not drive the car inside? It’s raining outside. Must you get wet? At your age, why do you still enjoy ying with water?”
Eliza fished out a dry towel from under the coffee table and tossed it to Joshua.
Joshua ran his hand casually over his hair a couple of times. The silver strands, dampened by rain, clung to his forehead until he brushed them aside. Amid the disarray, an inexplicable, rebellious charm emerged.
Noelle gazed at Joshua, her eyes filled with longing.
During this period, she was always finding various excuses to see him.
But he kept avoiding her all the time.
She hadn’t seen him for ages.

Joshua casually tossed the towel onto the armrest of the armchair, his cold gaze fell on Noelle.
Noelle’s heart raced.

His voice was cold and detached. Upon hearing it, Noelle’s heart trembled, and the smile at the corner of her lips faded abruptly.

It was supposed to be a happy thing, but faint traces of worry arose in her heart.
‘Now that my brother’s revenge has been fulfilled, is my connection with the Garcia family also severed?‘ she thought.
She suppressed her sinister thoughts and forcibly pulled the corners of her mouth into a smile.
“That is great.”
“Second,” Joshua looked at Eliza and Aaron. “Xylia and I are together now.”
The smile that Noelle had just forced onto her face froze instantly, and her gaze gradually revealed a fury marked by jealousy and resentment.
Eliza was initially cheerful, but when she subconsciously noticed Noelle’s expression, she restrained herself a little.
“Joshua, you’re really fast. We thought you’d be kept waiting a bit longer.”

She gritted her teeth to hold back her reluctance and said, “I’ve got things to do. I’m leaving. You guys should get some rest early.”
“Noelle!”
Eliza chased after Noelle out the door.
