She looked at Gina and said, “Mobile phones are not allowed in the banquet hall. Why are you breaking the rules? You should know I can report you right now and have the organizers kick you out.”
Gina crossed her arms and looked at Tessa.
She knew Tessa, who was the Chief Dancer.
After spraining her ankle some time ago, Tessa had not participated in any dancepetitions since.
She even missed thepetition for the Chief Dancer title, and now the title belonged to someone else.
The two people beside Tessa looked at Gina and suddenly burst intoughter. “I was wondering who it was–turns out it’s you, Gina rk. The new starlet who climbed the ranks through the casting couch. No wonder you two are together.
“Someone of your status wouldn’t have been invited by the organizers. Did you sneak in?
“I’ll have to tell the organizers and kick you out!”
Gina’s expression grew somber.
Xylia suddenly let out a softugh and stepped forward to take Gina’s phone.
She shielded Gina behind him without betraying any emotion.
Then, she slid the video’s progress bar forward and sessfully saw the footage showing Tessa, her friends, and Sonny framing her.
She smiled and said, “The organizer did not prohibit everyone from bringing mobile phones. You chose not to bring yours, but you can’t stop others from doing it.”
As she spoke, she held up that video clip in front of Tessa. “Ms. Schultz, why don’t you post this video online and let everyone judge for themselves if you’re wrong?”
One of Tessa’s friends mocked, “Even if you post this video online, we’re just making a fewments without knowing the full story. Do you really think you’re somebody that so manyizens would stand behind you?”
Xylia said calmly, “Is that so? Would you like to give it a try?”

Xylia paid no attention to what the two said; her eyes were fixed only on Tessa’s face.
She wasn’t familiar with others, but she knew Tessa extremely well.
Tessa’s dancing skills were not top–notch; her appointment as chief dancer was merely the result of Connor’s behind–the–scenes maniption.
Back then in Jupiton, Tessa deliberately arranged to sprain her ankle in order to avoid participating in this year’s round of the principal dancepetition because she knew she would not win this year.
Leon said that Tessa had previously taken the initiative to approach him and make friends, which suggested she intended to enter the entertainment industry.
Before she officially entered the entertainment industry, she would not actually reveal her own scandals to the public.
The influence of this video was limited, but Gina currently had some online poprity. If this matter started to ferment online, there would definitely be some stir.
Xylia knew that Tessa did not dare to take the risk.
As expected, Tessa, with a livid expression, looked at Xylia and, after a long pause, finally spoke, “I wrongly used you, Xylia. I hope you will not be upset.”
The two beside Tessa looked at her, both appearing somewhat stunned.
However, upon seeing Tessa’s nce signaling them not to continue speaking, they inevitably suppressed their impulse to continue speaking.
Xylia returned the mobile phone to Gina.
She no longer wished to speak with them and took Gina by the hand, about to leave.
Tessa suddenly said, “But Xylia, even Sonny doesn’t trust your character. You’re really too much of a failure.”
Xylia lowered her head and looked at Sonny,
Sonny had justmitted perjury once again, thrusting her into another conflict.
She saw Sonny lower his eyes, guiltily avoiding her gaze.
She gave a nonchnt smile. “For you, Ms. Schultz, he is willing tomit perjury time and again, and repeatedly harm his own biological mother. Children, after all, do not yetprehend the concept of moral character.”

With that, she left arm in arm with Gina.
However, Sonny was frightened pale by the words left behind by Xylia.

He watched her departing figure, his entire body immobilized as if nailed to the spot.
It turned out that she was aware.
She knew that the false testimony about the hit–and–run was deliberately fabricated by him. She knows the repeated harm inflicted upon her by him and Connor.
At that moment, Sonny felt his blood freeze and his mind gopletely nk.
Tessa called out to Sonny twice, but he did not hear her.
It was not until Tessa gently patted his face that he came back to his senses. “What’s wrong, Tessa?”
Tessa frowned. “Why are you still calling me Tessa? I’m your mom now.”
“Mom… Mom…” He mumbled the word twice, struggling to finally utter it.
He found it strange. In the past, he was eager for Tessa to be his mother as soon as possible.
But now that Tessa had truly be his mother, he was, on the contrary, less happy.
Had he not kept pestering to attend the dinner together today, he would have been left at the hotel.
However, aftering along, when he saw all kinds of unfamiliarity in Xylia’s eyes, he felt afraid again and regretted havinge with Tessa.
Tessa said, “By the way, you did really well just now–how about I reward you with some dessert?”
When Sonny heard the word ‘dessert,‘ he felt a throbbing pain in his mrs.
During this period, he ate sweets whenever he wanted, and Tessa continually provided him with candy; as a result, he developed cavities.
In the past, Xylia certainly would not have allowed him to eat so many candies,
If he had cavities, Xylia was also undoubtedly the first to notice.
Sonny shook his head. “Mommy, I have a toothache and don’t want to eat desserts.”

Tessa said nonchntly, “It’s just a toothache; it shouldn’t affect your appetite, right? Just go ahead, Sonny. After you finish cating, I will take you to see the dentist. Once you’ve seen the dentist, I guarantee the cavity will be gone soon.”
After Sonny heard Tessa’s gentle words, the sadness in his heart gradually faded.
He thought, “Tessa still treats me well. The mom I chose will certainly not be wrong!
Xylia took Gina to the sofa beside the dining area, and they sat down.
Xylia was indeed somewhat hungry. After asking the server to serve them some desserts and wine, she only then started chatting with Gina.
Gina smiled and looked at Xylia. “I did not expect you toe. I saw you from a distance just now, but since you were dressed so formally, I was afraid I might mistake you for someone else. I spent quite some time confirming it was you. I intended to record a video to tease you, but unexpectedly, the video turned out to be useful.”
Xylia picked up a ss of champagne and raised it toward Gina. “Thank you for what you did.”
“No worries.” With that, Gina clinked sses with Xylia. “But why didn’t you tell me earlier that you were alsoing to the g?”
Xylia replied, “My brother only arranged for me toe here when I got homest night, and I don’t know if the charity g you attended is this one.”
Gina was puzzled. “Your brother?”
Xylia nodded, nced around, and, not seeing Kaden, abandoned the idea of pointing him out to Gina.
She said directly, “My brother is Kaden Sadler.”
“Kaden Sadler?” Gina was stunned, and her voice rose by several decibels, drawing repeated nces from some of those who had not yet dispersed.
Xylia made a “shh” sound toward her.
Only then did Gina realize and lowered her voice to say to Xylia, “Are you a member of the Sadler family?”
Xylia nodded slightly.
Gina was totally dumbfounded. “Damn! You’re already part of the Sadler family–why would you still open your own studio? I thought you were just like me, quietly working your way up from nothing. Turns out I put my trust in the wrong person after all!”
