At the city hall, Xylia and Connor registered their divorce, and the staff informed them toe back in a month to collect their divorce decree.

“Since we’ve already registered for the divorce, it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to stay at the Ford Mansion. I’ll pack my things and move out tomorrow,” Xylia said.

“As you wish,” Connor replied coldly. Before leaving, he mocked Xylia onest time. “Let’s see when you regret this.”

He still believed that Xylia’s insistence on divorcing him was just a result of anger. She was upset because he hadn’t defended her at the school anniversary event and because he had protected Tessa.

But under those circumstances, he had to protect the Ford family’s reputation. Besides, Tessa was her sister, and Xylia’s narrow–mindedness prevented her from epting her sibling.

Now, Xylia wasn’t even the daughter of the Garcia family anymore–she was just an ordinary person. Leaving him meant giving up a luxurious lifestyle.

He was sure that someone as materialistic as Xylia would beg him to reconsider and wouldn’t go through with the divorce.

Xylia rolled her eyes at Connor’s back and was about to leave when Leon appeared, having arrived silently.

He suddenly spoke up, “Has your husband always treated you this badly?”

Xylia was startled by Leon’s sudden question. She turned to face him and didn’t recognize him at first.

Leon wore a mask and sunsses that covered most of his face. If it weren’t for his voice, Xylia would have thought he was a robber.

“Have you been following me?” she asked.

“I’m just here to watch the fun,” Leon grinned, lowering his sunsses slightly to reveal his eyes.

“You said you’re moving out. Have you found a ce to stay? Do you need help?” he asked.

Xylia felt that Leon, whom she had only just met, was being a bit too eager. “No need, I’ll find a ce myself,” she replied.

Leon noticed her wariness, understanding that even as a celebrity, she wasn’t keen on trusting him. “Actually, I…” he began, but his phone rang before he could finish.

Apologizing with a smile, he stepped aside to answer the call. When he returned, his expression was dark. “I have to leave. There’s an urgent matter. If you need anything, just reach out to me directly,” he said.

Xylia smiled gently and said, “Thank you.”

Leon gave her a deep look. “We’ll meet again.” Then, he put on his sunsses and walked away.

Xylia found Leon a bit strange, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on why. Still, she didn’t expect to see him again anytime soon.

On her way back to the Ford Mansion, Xylia received a call from Joshua. “Congrattions on finally getting divorced,” he said.

Xylia chuckled. “Well, I haven’t received the divorce decree yet, but I am definitely happy to finally be divorced.”

In a month, not only would she have divorced Connor, but she would also be leaving Jupiton for good.

With this in mind, she thought she should find an opportunity to invite Joshua to dinner, since he had helped

    her so much.

Just as she was about to ask when he was avable, Joshua spoke first. “Since you’re moving out, why not stay at the apartment I offered before? That ce is empty, so you might as well use it.”

Since she only needed a ce for a month and staying at a hotel wouldn’t be cost–effective, she agreed. “Alright, but you’ll need to transfer the rent for this month to your friend at the regr price.”

“This month? Are you only staying for one month?” Joshua asked.

Xylia smiled and said, “Yes, I will be leaving in a month.”

Joshua frowned slightly, but before he could ask more, Xylia quickly hung up. “I’ll exinter. I’m home now,” she said and ended the call.

After hanging up the phone, Joshua looked at Yana, who was sitting opposite him and eating snacks.

He was in a bad mood and found everyone irritating. “Keep eating, that new dress won’t fit in no time,” he muttered.

Yana wanted to throw chips at his head. “After getting humbled by a woman, you take it out on your aunt?” she scolded.

Joshua kept a cold expression and didn’t respond.

Yana dusted off her hands, walked over to him, and looked down at him. “Is Xylia really from the Sadler family?” she asked.

    Joshua remained silent.

Yana continued, “Although Leon hides his identity as a Sadler, there are still people who know the truth. I heard the Sadler family lost a baby girl many years ago. Given how Leon defended Xylia at the school celebration today, it’s highly likely that she’s the missing girl.”

At this point, Yana looked directly at Joshua. “The Sadler family isn’t easy to mess with. Looks like marrying a wife isn’t as simple as you thought,” she said.

Joshua frowned, clearly annoyed by Yana’s gleeful expression. “I overheard my parents discussing setting you up on a blind date,” he said.

“Recently, there have been some problems in Kregonia. No one else can go except me, so tell your parents I’ll leave immediately,” Yana added, before walking out of the office.

Joshua hadn’t had the chance to tell her yet, but the matchmaking partner his parents had arranged for her was in Kregonia.

He opened the file his assistant had sent, which contained the current online search terms for Leon.

The livestream today had already be a major news event, and with the involvement of a big celebrity like Leon, its poprity was through the roof.

Leon himself was already entangled in rumors recently, and now he was caught in another uncontroble public sentiment. This was affecting his career.

After a moment of thought, Joshua sent a message to his assistant. “Send Leon Sadler an invitation for the International Brand Week next quarter.”

When Xylia returned to the Ford Mansion, Mnie was happily running out the door. “Great! My son has finally divorced her,” she eximed.

But when Mnie saw Xylia enter, her smile froze, and she looked at her with clear displeasure. “What are you doing back here? Since you’re getting divorced, you can’t juste and go as you please,” she snapped.

“I’m here to pack my things and leave immediately,” Xylia replied.

Mnie, still in a good mood, was even more pleased to hear that Xylia was leaving. “Then hurry up and pack. Don’t take a single thing that belongs to our family,” she said, before running off to gossip with her friends.

As Xylia walked through the vi’s door, she saw Orion sitting in the living room.

His face looked haggard, and as soon as he saw her, his sharp eyes locked on hers, tinged with disappointment. “Xylia,e here. I want to talk to you,” he said, his voice hoarse.

Xylia sat down across from him. Orion coughed, and his hand, resting on his knee, trembled slightly. His condition seemed to be worsening.

He looked at Xylia, his voice breaking slightly. “Xylia, you promised me you wouldn’t divorce Connor. Why are you doing this?”

Xylia met his gaze calmly and replied, “Orion, the Garcia family knows the truth now–that I am not their daughter. I can’t help you anymore.”
