 Her boyfriend believed every word. 

 After all, with Lillian’s qualifications, she’d never have gotten into Aurelion Group on her own.

 Carman, listening from behind, frowned deeply. 

 He nced over at Noreen, debating whether to intervene and tell the couple to keep it down.
