"Shit, shit!" The mustached guy couldn''t stop swearing under his breath!
"If they alert the Martial Saint, we''re screwed!"
My eyebrows scrunched up tight.
Right then, I yanked off my Spatial Magic Artifact and shoved it at the mustached man.
At the same time, I looked at him and said, "Take this Spatial Magic Artifact. You pack up the spiritual stones, and I''ll go waste them."
After I said that, my body exploded into action, charging toward the edge of the massive spiritual stone mine!
When I hit the edge, several Marquises instantly surrounded me.
"Who the hell are you, and what are you doing in the big spiritual stone mine?!" The Marquis yelled.
I let out a coldugh: "I''m your old man!"
Before the words even finished, my Golden Light zed out, and I threw a punch!
In a split second, blood and guts went flying everywhere as my brutal fist instantly pulverized their bodies!
Within just a few minutes, those Marquises were all dead by my hand.
I ripped the golden cores from their corpses and crammed them into my pocket, then scanned around.
Lucky for me, no Martial Saint showed up while I was moving.
"What the hell?" But right then, I suddenly picked up a weird energy signature!
This energy wasing from the Martial Saint!
"Crap! Gotta get out of here fast!" I realized something was seriously wrong and rushed back into the big spiritual stone mine.
Inside the mine, the mustached guy was still going crazy stuffing spiritual stones.
"We gotta stop, a Martial Saint''sing!" I told him.
But the mustached man was still being stubborn, his face twisted with greed.
By now, at least half the spiritual stone mine had been grabbed by both of us into our Spatial Magic Artifacts.
"That''s it, we won''t make it out if we keep going!" I frowned.
Without wasting more words, I dragged the mustached guy into the spatial formation.
The second we both stepped into the formation, Iris Darren, Garcia Coleman, and the others had already shown up.
——
When they got near the big spiritual stone mine, they immediately felt something was wrong.
"Huh? Where is everyone?" Garcia''s brow creased.
He had posted guards around this area, and now there wasn''t a single soul.
"No point looking, they''re already dead," Iris''s face was dark as hell.
"Dead?" Garcia''s expression shifted, and he rushed toward the big spiritual stone mine.
When he reached the mountain peak, he quickly spotted the shattered corpses.
Garcia''s face instantly got even nastier!
"What the hell happened?!" Garcia screamed in shock.
Star, who was standing close by, furrowed his brow like he''d figured something out.
He quickly nced at the spiritual stone mine.
Seeing that at least half the spiritual stones were missing, Star''s face went ck right away.
"Damn it, the spiritual stones got jacked," Star said coldly.
"What?!" Garcia rushed to the edge.
When he saw more than half of the spiritual stone mine was gone, everything went dark and he nearly passed out.
"How... how the hell did this happen?! Who pulled this shit?!" Garcia roared in fury.
Iris sneered, "Cut the act. Who knows if you moved the spiritual stones ahead of time."
Garcia quickly said, "Whoever moved the spiritual stones is a piece of shit!"
Iris said coldly, "Really? Even if you moved the spiritual stones, you wouldn''t own up to it."
"I swear to God, whoever moved the spiritual stones can get struck by lightning and drop dead!" Garcia said furiously.
Star narrowed his eyes, his body lifted into the air and he jumped into the spiritual stone mine.
"There''s a spatial formation down here," Star said coldly.
Hearing this, the others quickly followed.
Looking at the spatial formation, their faces got even worse.
"Star, can you figure out who moved the spiritual stones?" Garcia asked coldly.
Star nodded: "As long as they were here, there''ll be leftover aura."
With that, Star closed his eyes slightly, sensing the remaining aura around him.
But soon, Star''s face changed a bit.
Because he was shocked to discover that there was no aura here at all!
"How is this possible..." Star''s brows knitted together.
"What''s the matter?" Garcia quickly asked.
Star shook his head, "Whoever stole the spiritual stones is probably a master; I can''t pick up their aura."
"Stop the bullshit," Iris said coldly.
"I don''t give a damn if the spiritual stones were moved by you or not, but based on our deal, I should get half of the spiritual stone mine, so the leftover spiritual stones are mine."
Garcia said coldly, "Says who?"
"Says who? Even if the spiritual stones weren''t stolen by your crew, they were watched by your crew. Now that the spiritual stones are gone, you naturally gotta take the me," Iris sneered.
Garcia clenched his teeth, his face full of rage, but he was also somewhat scared of Iris.
After mulling it over, Garcia stubbornly said, "We''ll split the spiritual stones fifty-fifty."
"No way, your half already got stolen," Iris said with squinted eyes.
At the same time, a bone-chilling Evil Omen energy radiated from his body, making people feel ice-cold to the core.
"If you''re so tough, go find the stolen spiritual stones yourself!" Iris said coldly.
Garcia went quiet, too scared to speak.
He was just a Half-step Martial Sage, and even with Star backing him up, he still felt unsure inside.
Seeing Garcia stay silent, Iris snorted and said nothing more, then began collecting the spiritual stones.
——
Meanwhile, the mustached man and I tumbled out of the spatial formation.
"Damn, what kind of crappy spatial formation is this? Nearly got me killed!" I couldn''t help but curse.
The mustached guy muttered, "Two hours to set up the formation wasn''t half bad, you''re so picky."
I rubbed my ass, looked around, and frowned, "Where the hell are we?"
Looking around, it was nothing but endless desert everywhere!
The mustached man smacked his forehead and said, "Forgot to mention, this spatial formation is pretty unstable and might not send us where we want to go."
"You..." I was at a loss for words.
"Whatever, at least we got the spiritual stones, it''s a win," the mustached man said with a grin.
I had no choice but to nod reluctantly, as long as we scored the spiritual stones, all the crap we went through was worth it.
