Chapter 117
Aria’s POV
She put all her strength into it. My head was still ringing from that p.
“No!” Headmistress Helena yelled, stepping in front of me to block her. “Milo’s mom, this is too far! We don’t use violence in this school! What kind of example is that for the children?”
Yet Milo’s mom lifted her chin, arrogant. “Get out of my way, Principal. My father–inw is an elder on Alpha Grayson’s
council. So what if I p her? My only son got hurt because of her. One p is nothing. I feel like killing her!”
Principal Helena red at her, holding back her anger. “But Miss Collins is the Alpha’s girlfriend. She’s also a very
important guest…”
“Important my ass! She’s just his ‘girlfriend.‘ A fling that our Alpha has. As long as my father–inw says no, she’ll never be this pack’s Luna.” Milo’s mom sneered.
“Principal Helena, are you sure you want to stand on this bitch’s side?” Milo’s father red darkly at Helena. “Don’t forget that I’m also on the school board. One word from me, and you’re out of a job!”
Principal Helena took a deep breath. She seemed furious but didn’t dare speak up.
I patted her shoulder gently and stepped forward, facing the couple directly.
“What’s so impressive about being on the school board?” I said coldly, staring at the man. “This kindergarten needs
charity money just to build a new gym. That means your school board hasn’t really done a damn thing for the children
here. You’re pretty much useless.”
The man’s face twisted with anger. And he roared, “You watch your tongue you damn woman! You’re just the Alpha’s
whore. And I’m an elder’s son! You better show your respect to me you stupid bitch!”
“You don’t deserve my respect,” I shot back, not backing down. “Even if today I’m just a normal person without a status, I’d still say you are useless. It’s called having a sense of right and wrong. But maybe you don’t understand that.”
Milo’s mom spat at me in rage and tried to hit me again. “You bitch! Let me teach you what’s right and what’s wrong-”
This time I was ready. I caught her wrist. “Every parent here is worried about their kids. But only you came in screaming and hitting me like a lunatic instead of trying to find the shooter. Do you even want to know who the shooter was? Or are you just stupid?”
Her face twisted with anger. She tried to pull her wrist back, but I tightened my grip, not letting her pull away.
“I don’t need to look for the shooter. Because I know this is all your fault!” she screamed at me. “Everything you touch turns into a disaster because no one in this pack likes you. You’re a curse on our Alpha and everyone here! That shooter should have killed you already-”
“Mom!” A small voice cut through her yelling.
Milo ran over and hugged his mother’s leg.

“Mom, stop yelling at Aria. She is the one who saved me today,” he said, looking up at his parents very seriously.
“What? No, that’s not possible. Milo, you don’t understand what’s going on here…”

“No, I do!” their son replied loudly. “The shooter was shooting at us, and Aria covered us with her body. Her wolf is so huge and its fur is white and gold. It’s so pretty. Her wolf is way bigger than yours, Mom!”
His mother’s face changed. “What are you talking about, Milo? She’s amoner, and I’m from a noble family. No way her wolf is bigger than mine.”
“No, but it’s true! I’m not lying! I saw it with my own eyes!” Milo insisted loudly.
“I saw it too! Aria’s wolf is really big!” a little girl shouted.
“Her wolf is the prettiest wolf I’ve ever seen!”
More kids started talking about my wolf all at once. Several kids broke free from their parents and ran over to stand in front of me, shielding me behind their little bodies.
“Aria saved us. I won’t let you hurt her,” one little girl said bravely.
“Yeah, I like her a lot,” another girl said. “I don’t want to marry Alpha Grayson anymore. I think Aria should marry him
instead. They’re perfect together.”
“Aria is our savior. You and Dad should be thanking her, not hitting her!” Milo said loudly.
These kids… I bit my lip, feeling a wave of strong emotion. They were a bunch of little angels.
But Milo’s parents only got angrier. His dad picked Milo up quickly and snapped, “Don’t be silly, Milo. We are not thanking
her.”
“Why? i told you, she saved me!” Milo struggled in his arms. “This isn’t fair!”
His mom mped a hand over her son’s mouth. “I’ll tell you why, Milo. Because she’s amoner. And we nobles don’t thank amoner like her. In fact, your grandfather, THE ELDER, could crush her like she’s a filthy bug.”
Right at this moment, a cold, powerful voice came from the doorway:
“Say that again? Who can crush my girlfriend like a bug?”
I turned my head quickly, just in time to see Grayson walking into the auditorium, his face dark like a storm and his strong presence filling the room.
“Alpha Grayson!”
Everyone gasped and bowed their heads respectfully.
“What are you doing here?” I asked in surprise as he walked over and cupped my face, checking me up with a worried look.
“How could I note? A damn shooter tried to kill you,” he growled, furious. Then he looked at Milo’s parents. “And I got

The couple flinched under his icy gaze. They swallowed nervously, and the man stammered, “A–Alpha Grayson, I don’t know if you remember me. I’m Elder Williams’s son. My father is a very respected member of your council-”
Grayson cut him off. “Your father, Williams, is a stubborn, stupid, and greedy old bastard. In all his years on the council, he’s never done one good thing for this pack. In fact if it weren’t for his family name, he’d never have be an elder in
the first ce.”
The man’s face went white. “No, Alpha Grayson…”
“And I won’t let a fool’s son throw his weight around anymore and bully my girlfriend,” Grayson said, looking down at the man coldly. “Go home and tell your father–He’s off the council.”
“What?!”
The couple stumbled back a step, their faces full of shock and fear.
“W–Wait, Alpha Grayson, please don’t do this! The council title is everything to my father!”
“Then now you can go home and tell him you cost him everything–because you were stupid enough to disrespect my girlfriend.” Grayson snorted.
The man was so scared he almost fell to his knees. “No, Alpha, please! I was wrong. I shouldn’t have said those things.
Please–please forgive me
His wife looked terrified too. She burst into tears, “We were so stupid Alpha Grayson. So stupid! We–We’ll apologize to Miss Collins right now… L–Lady Aria, please forgive me for what I said. Please!”
1 frowned. But Grayson was merciless. “She doesn’t need your apology. And I haven’t even dealt with you hitting her yet. Guards! p this woman 50 times!”
There’s a collective gasp from nearby. Even I was shocked.
50 ps? My God that’s a lot.
A guard marched over and held the woman by her shoulders, ready for the punishment. She broke down crying hysterically, and Milo winced in her arms and started crying too. “No, wait! Mom, what’s happening? Don’t touch my
mom!”
Looking at Milo’s crying little face, I suddenly felt bad for the kid. So I tugged on Grayson’s sleeve and whispered, “Let it go.
Don’t do this to her.”
Grayson’s voice was ice–cold. “No fucking way. In fact I should hang her on the top of this building for what she did to you.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. There are kids here,” I said quietly.
Grayson frowned and nced down at Milo, as if noticing him for the first time. The boy looked back at him, scared. More tears filled his eyes.
“…Fine,” Grayson said tly after a long pause. “Guards, clear everyone out. Send all avable men to find the shooter.”

The soldiers immediately started clearing the room, leading out the shaken parents and crying children out, including the sobbing Milo family. The wounded ones were also taken somewhere else to rest.
Soon, the big auditorium was empty. Except for me, Grayson, and Glen. My big guard had been standing silently to the side
the whole time.
Grayson finally looked at Glen, his eyes cold like ice.
left Aria in your care. And yet she still got hurt–almost killed.”
Glen immediately went down on one knee and bowed his head. “This is all my fault. But I was checking the school’s
security and briefing the guards. I didn’t know the danger woulde so suddenly…”
Without any warning, Grayson suddenly kicked him hard in the shoulder. The force was so great that a huge man like Glen
was sent flying backward. He mmed into the wall hard with a huge, crashing sound.
My hand flew to my mouth, killing a gasp.
“Your fucking job is to know these dangers!” Grayson’s furious voice echoed through the auditorium. “Now give me one reason why I shouldn’t kill you right now for failing your job!”
