Wore 66

    Chapter 66

    Aria’s POV

    I clenched my jaw.

I hated this man. I wanted him to pay for what he did to my grandmother

“You should expel him,” I gritted, steeling my heart,

Gasps of horror echoed through the room. Everyone red at me like I had lost my mind.

Expel was the harshest punishment for a werewolf

Once you’re expelled, you’re banned from living in any pack. You’d have no identity, no official job. You’d be forced to survive as a street wolf.

For a former Beta? That was like a death sentence.

“You’re crazy! I’m Alpha Grayson’s Beta–you can’t just expel a Betal Harold roared, but there was a hint of fear in his voice.

“Quiet.“Grayson growled, tightening his grip. Harold immediately choked on his words, gasping for air.

*Alpha Grayson, please…” a well–dressed woman spoke up shakily. “Despite what he did, Beta Harold has assisted you for many years. To expel him… just for a woman… that’s madness.”

Grayson’s icy gaze swept across the room. “No. This is about loyalty. I don’t want anyone in my pack who takes orders from someone else even if that person is my sisfer or my parents.”

    No one dared speak again.

Everyone sat there frozen, lowering their heads.

“So… expel, you said?” Grayson asked me, voice cold.

stroy his life. I think that’s a fair punishment.”

I clenched my fists, fighting the part of me that wanted to hesitate. “Yes. It’ll destroy

    But then he smiled.

    “You’re s

    so soft,” he said.

I frowned, Soh? Expel was already brutal. What else did he want?

Grayson’s hand suddenly tightened, and Harold’s eyes rolled back as he passed out. The tall man crumpled to the floor.

“Throw him in the dungeon, Grayson ordered.

The guards moved in and Harold’s body like he was a dead pig and dragged him away.

Everyone in the room watched in horror.

The woman who had spoken earlier trembled “W What’s going to happen to Beta Harold…}”

“That no longer concerns you,” Grayson said.

He walked back to the couch and pulled me back into hisp. His voice was so but dangerous. “As long as none of you betray me, you have nothing to worry about

There was a deadly silence in the room,

“Anyone else want to report anything?” he asked casually.

They all shook their heads, dearly terrified.

“Good. Then go clean up the pless you made while I was away

Chairs scraped across the floor as they all stood and scrambled to leave.

They all looked at me on the way out.

It was a look I’d never received before. Anger mixed with something even stronger

    -Fear,

When the door shut, I turned to Grayson. “They must all think I’m some kind of siren now.”

He chuckled and leaned down to me. “That you are, babe, I’m already under your spell.”

“So what’s going to happen to Beta Harold?”

But his expression stayed mysterious. He held my hand, stroking the back of itzily. “You’re too soft and sweet, it’s better you don’t know.”

I narrowed my eyes at him. There was something dark in his eyes, something eerily familiar. That shadowed energy radiating off him made my stomach

“Wanna do something a little crazier?” he asked suddenly

    “Like what?”

“Jace Carter’s birthday is in a few days.”

    I blinked.

Oh right. Jace was turning 28. It’s his first birthday since marrying Delh.

“She’s throwing a huge party for him. And we’re going,” he said.

“What? No!” I snapped. “There’s no way in hell I’m going to that thing and wishing that bastard a happy birthday. And not to mention your sister’s gonna

    be there.”

I still didn’t know who was truly behind what happened to Grandma. Grayson or his sister–either way, that family had blood on their hands.

if I had a choice, I’d never see any of their damn faces again.

He squeezed my hand. “I know you’re furious. But this event. You definitely want to be there.”

There was something in his voice that sent a chill down my spine

“What are you going to do at the party?” I asked.

    “You’ll see. It’s a surprise for you.”

Thesitated, chewing on my lip. I didn’t want to get dragged into their family drama again. But if I could witness these two gettin hat they deserve…it’d be worth it.

After a moment, I said, “Don’t make me regret paying yes.”

He pulled me closer by the waist. “You won’t. You’re gonna enjoy the show Lpromise.”

*Fine. Just tell me when and where so I can be ready. I’m guessing there’s a dress code?”

Yes. You need a gown. Let’s see… He nced at his watch. “We still have time to go buy one now!

    Another new dress?

I shook my head. “No need. I still have the nines from earlier. I’ve only wore them like one or twice

But something I said must’ve pissed him. His face darkened,

“You mean that silver dress that revealed your whole chest?” he growled

I froze, then shot back, “What are you talking about? It’s just a low neckline. My chest is safer

“Bullshit. Zane picked that one for you, didn’t he? His taste is trasic”

Okay, now he was being unfair Tor your informations, I actually liked that dress. And speaking of Zane…how is he?”

I’d been worried about him. His brother Damian gave off seriously evil vibes.

“Stop worrying, You’ll never see him again anyway,” he said coldly. Then he stood and offered me his hand.

“Let’s go. I’ll pick something actually fit you.”

I thought we were heading to a mall, likest time when Zane took me shopping

    But no

We ended up on the top floor of a morous hotel, with a panoramic view of the whole city. The space was huge, and there was a long runway set up, like a fashion show venue.

When we arrived, hotel staff and stylists had lined up. They bowed to us respectfully.

“What is this? Are we here to watch a show?” I whispered to Grayson.

“Yes. A show just for us

He pulled me onto the only couch in the room.

The curtains at the end of the runway pulled open, and a stunning model strutted out in a sleek ck evening gowns.

She walked down the runway and stopped at the center posing spot in front of us. Twirling around. Showing off the dress.

I looked between Grayson and the stylist, utterly confused.

Wait. What was I supposed to do? p for her?

The stylist quickly exined, “Miss Collins, the models are here to showcase the dresses. That way you can see how they look in motion without having to try them on yourself. You can also choose any itent from the lookbook and request a model to demonstrate it.”

    My jaw dropped.

God. This is how rich people buy clothes?

“But how is this helpful at all?” I gasped. “These models are like ten times hotter than me. Everything looks good on them!”

Graysonughed, probably thinking I was joking. “You’re more beautiful than all of them put together. Sol What do you think of this ck one?”

My brain hadn’t caught up yet, so I just shook my

    head.

“Lagree: Too in,” he waved the model away, and another one came but

This whole process was like… Insane

And seriously, these models were too pretty. It was hard to focus on the clothes when their

“Can we take a break?“I asked after 20 minutes of torture,

    Fares were to distracting

“Sure.” Grayson squeezed my hand. “Don’t worry. We’ve got the whole day.”

    God help me.

During our break, he headed outside to take a call, and I went to the bathroom.

When I came out of the stall, I saw a gorgeous model applying lipstick at the sink. Fucking holl, her waist was basically at the height of my chest!

I nced at her face. And froze.

    Shit. That was Barbara Stansen!

THE international supermodel. Fashion brand loon. Voted one of the world’s sexiest women for 5 years.

What the hell was she doing here?

I couldn’t control my excitement. I wanted to ask for an autograph. If I remembered right, May was a huge fan

But before I could say anything, she spotted me first. And she turned to face me

“You Aria Collins?” she asked, raising a brow

    “Umm, yeah?”

She stepped closer, towering over me.

    God, she was tall

“You stay away from Alpha Grayson, hear me?” she said, voice low and sharp. “He’s my boyfriend.”
