“Wow.”
“You like it?” He smiles and rocks back and forth on his feet.
“This is…wow.” I run my fingers along a few machines as I walk through the space. I spot a set of targets in the distance with an array of throwing knives set up on a table. I’ll definitely be using thatter on. I find an open piece of floor and start stretching.
“So, you do this every day?” Noah questions as he stretches with me.
“Yep.”
“How long have you been training for?”
“Since before I can remember. Tris warriors found me when I was little and raised me. Mornings were
always early, and we trained before we worked.”
“They had you out on patrol as a pup?”
“Yep, imagine a group of bulky, hardened wolves sharing around a baby sling. Then when I started to walk, they’d strap a harness to me with a leash so I wouldn’t run away. Eventually I just learnt to stick by their side. They taught me everything they knew.”
Noahughs, it’s a beautiful, deep chuckle. “I’d love to see photos of that.” We fall into afortable silence. I warm up on the treadmill and rowing machine with Noah right by my side working out himself. Eventually I move over to the bench lift and start stacking weights. Without a word he decides to spot me. Not that I need it, I know my limits but at the same time I guess it’s nice to have someone care. My stitches pull with every move I make but I’m not weak, I push through the pain using it to fuel my motivation. Even without a wolf, I’ve always proven myself.

I couldn’t sleepst night, knowing that my mate was so close yet so far away, Maddox was hounding at me to go and check on her and I wanted too as well. I poked my head in for a moment, just to see that she was sleeping,fortable in the huge bed that will eventually be ours, I wanted to sleep next to her, Maddox wanted it badly as well, but I had to talk him down, exining that she wasn’t ready for it. By the time I closed her door my brothers were in the hallway looking just as torn. It was clear our wolves were having a hard time keeping their distance, so we all sat outside her doorway where that delicious scent soothed us to sleep. I roll over with a groan as my back internally screams at me from the hard floors. Opening my eyes I spot Haiden and Levi still snoring close by but Noah’s not here. I get up to check his room but it’s empty, his bed still made from the previous day. I knock softly on Envy’s door and when there’s no answer I open it slowly, expecting to see her still asleep but she’s not. She’s not there.
Where is mate?! Maddox panics.

I don’t know!
I shove my two brothers.
“Wake up, Envy is gone!” They both shoot up like rockets, staring at me with wide eyes. Haiden pushes past me to her room and double checks she’s not in the bathroom.
“Where is she?!”
“I don’t know! Gone!” We all start running through the house searching rooms and then I remember Noah
was gone too.
Where are you?! I mindlink him, leaving it open like always so my other brothers can listen in as well.
In the gym with our mate. He says like he has his chest puffed out in pride.
I switch directions heading for the basement, Haiden ising out from another hallway almost knocks me on my ass as we collide and Levi darts around us to hit the stairs first. We all take the stairs three at a time as we rush down, needing to see her for ourselves. When we get there her vani and blueberry scent hits my nostrils and instantly calms Maddox and myself. There at the other end of the gym I spot Noah sitting cross legged on the ground with the biggest smile on his face as he watches our girl on the targets. We make our way over, much more slowly now as I watch her throw knife after knife at the targets, not one hitting off the bullseye.
She’s fucking good, Noah links us as if not to disturb her concentration.
Are those shorts even legal? Levi questions with a tilt of his head, eyeing her peachy little ass.
*If they’re not then send me to jail, because I’m buying her one of every fucking colour. * Haiden jokes.
“Good morning, luna.” I greet as she spins around so fucking fast with a knife held in aim. I quickly raise my hands in surrender, and she lowers the knife.
“Sorry. I was in the zone, you scared me.”
“I can see that.” I nod to the targets. “You do well with a knife.”
“You should see what I can do with a sword or two.”
I smirk at the memory of my bad ass bad mate ughtering rogues like they were nothing. I already know the perfect gift for her. Having bought a set of new top of the range swordsst night online.
“We should get you some breakfast,”
She checks the clock on the wall before answering. “No time. I’ve got school in forty minutes, and it’ll take a little over half that to get back to Tris.”

I frown and look around at my brothers doing the same.
“You’re not going to school. You’re our Luna now, your ce is here with us.”
It’s her turn to frown and she crosses her arms but the sight of her angry only makes her look cuter.

“I’ve worked very hard on my schooling. I’m already a year in advance and just about six months from graduating and bing a pack doctor. I have ns and you’re not going to take that away from me, any
of you.”
I open my mouth to argue but Levi steps forward. “If you really wish to graduate then I can have your work transferred here. You can study in the pack house, graduate and move on to pack doctor here, if that is what you wish.”
She lets out a long sigh and steps forward to him. His shoulders straighten as he looks down at our mate and with his shoulder length ck hair still out from this morning, I’m sure he looks every bit intimidating from that angle, but our girl doesn’t falter. She looks up at him with a face of stone.
“Promise?” She holds out her pinky and there’s no hesitation on his part as he wraps his giant pinky around her tiny one and stamps it with his thumb.
“I promise.” She takes a step back and nods to herself. “Okay, breakfast, but I need a shower first.” Levi grins over her shoulder at us as if to say “look what I did” and I give him a pat on the back as he passes me to follow our girl.
