Guard 132

    Chapter 132 Amalie

I feel self–conscious as I am walking towards home. I feel like every breeze is going to blow Mark’s shirt up and exposes me. I keep tugging it down, drawing attention to myself.

Mark smiles at me as Cal is smirking.

“It’s not funny,” I hiss as I yank down the shirt again.

“Come here,” Markughs as he scoops me up into a bridal carry. He ces me in his arms so that

his shirt is secure and not exposing my butt to the pack.

I bury my face into Mark’s chest in embarrassment.

‘You just had sex, and you’re this embarrassed?‘ Beren cackles.

Easily flustered,‘ Aziz purrs to me.

“This is so weird being able to hear you all,” I say out loud.

“But it’s a nice feeling,” Cal says.

We continue to make our way home when I am struck by a thought that has me gasping in shock.

“What? What’s wrong?” Mark demands at my sudden shock. He stops walking to make sure that I am

    okay.

Cal is also looking at me with worry.

“Cal! Your shoulder! Goddess, Ipletely forgot about how you wounded your shoulder. Then we went and had…” I say trailing off at the end with a blush.

Both of my mates are quiet before they areughing. Mark isughing so hard, that he almost drops

me.

“I did not think it was that funny, Cal was hurt,” I huff in embarrassment.

Cal reins in hisughs and states, “I’m fine love. Zviad focused his energy on healing my shoulder. He is a very powerful wolf. By the time we started for upstairs, it was almost healed. It was just tender, but the sex was well worth any difort.” He is smirking at me at the end.

1 binh xin bury my face back into Mark’s chest. I don’t want to show them my red face. I take a

deep breaths to steady myself. I then switch to a different thought “Can I mind link someone?

you dri’t need permission to mind link someone.” Cal tells me, he still has a slight smirk on

    his face.”

I nod my head. Mind link, okay, I can do this. I focus on who I want to talk to. I won’t shout at them. Speak normally, I can do this. ‘Uncle Will?‘ I ask tentatively.

I honestly don’t know what to expect. Part of me is hoping that he responds, actually arge part of me is hoping that he responds. The other part is wondering if he won’t respond because I am unable

to mind link others besides my mates.

Why is this so confusing? It should be easy. There should be no nerves as I wait for a response.

‘Uncle Mike?‘ I ask as I reach out to my other uncle.

I feel like I should be tapping my fingers or pacing as I wait for a response.

“Darling, we can feel your anxiety, it will be okay,” Mark tells me, trying to soothe my nerves.

I nod my head and try once more. ‘Uncle Mike? Uncle Will?‘ I call out to both.

    ‘Ama?‘es Uncle Mike’s shocked reply.

‘You’re mind linking?‘ Uncle Will asks, equally shocked.

I am now,‘ I say hesitantly over the link.

    ‘How?‘ Uncle Will asks.

‘We’ll exin when we get home,‘ I tell them.

‘This is amazing, dear,‘ Uncle Mike says with fondness.

1 smile at the praise and keep my face buried in Mark’s chest.

“Everything okay?” Mark asks with a chuckle.

I nod my head, a smile still on my face, I am ready to get home. I feel Mark’s pace change as he speeds up to get home. Looking up, I see the front porch of home. The sight brings an even bigger smile to my face.

Cal holds the door open for Mark and I. Once we are through the door, I wiggle out of Mark’s grasp. He smiles as he sets me down. I give him a kiss before I dash back to my room.

Riffling through my drawers, I grab a pair of shorts and underwear, I decide that I want to stay in Mark’s shirt. It smells like him and isfortable, I quickly pull on my clothes and leave my room.

I follow the voices to the dining room,

“There is the new Luna,” Uncle Mike says with a grin.

“Let’s see the marks,” Uncle Will says with smile.

Feeling self–conscious, I move my shoulders to hide my neck. For good measure, I move some of my hair to hide them.I don’t know why I feel so self–conscious over them.

“Love?” Cal asks with a teasing smirk.

“You show off yours first,” I challenge with an order.

“Of course, Luna,” Markughs as he pulls down his shirt to better show off his neck.

Cal does the same, his typical smirk, stered on his face as he shows off his mark.

“Let’s see it,” Uncle Mike smiles.

“You are all acting like teenagers,” I grumble as I drop my shoulders.

“Mommy!” Rose says as she runs back into the room.

“Hi baby,” I say as I scoop her up and set her on my hip. “Did you have a good time drawing?”

“The bestest,” she smiles happily as she buries her face in neck, some of my hair getting caught between my neck and her face. “Mommy, what this?” she asks as she moves my hair out of the way.

I did not think she would have noticed my marks with my hair down.

“What did you find, petal?” Cal asks with a teasing smile.

“Mommy neck hurt,” she says desperately. She moves the hair out of the way to look at my neck. She then looks at the other side of my neck. Her horror, at how I must be hurt, grows.

“No, baby,” I say, immediately trying to soothe her. I then try to exin what the marks mean on our necks. “I am fine. These are called mate marks. We gave them to each other to bind us together. We became full mates today.”

“That means, we are now a full family,” Cal says as hees up behind us.

No one can take you away from us now. We are one big family,” Mark tells her as he ces a kiss on her check.

    “Forever?” she asks with awe

“Forever and ever,” I tell her as I kiss her nose.
