Chapter <b>55 </b>Amalie
Vickie proved to be a grind distraction. waited for the park meeting at 5 pm. After she and fimmy had settled on the the office, Rose had climbed into herp. Rose told the pair about her ying at the park. Vickie, being dramatic, was able in noh and auh in the right spots to keep Rose engaged. She asked questions when Pose took a breath. Vickie was great with kids.
“If you ever need a babysitter, please let me know! I would love to babysit this little flower for you,” she practically begs
“I’ll let you know. But you will have to fight off the twins uncles and Gretchen for that right,” Iugh.
“Done, if it means she gets to spend time with me,”

“No,” I say as I look around the office, I spot the vase of pink roses on Mark’s desk.
“I figured you could use some more,” sheughs again. It is not a fakeugh but a genuineugh. She is happy to be here and talking with me,
I smile at her. It’s nice to <b>talk </b>to someone who wants to <b>engage </b>in <b>a </b><b>conversation </b>with me that has not been connected to me before everything happened. I still sometimes feel like the twins, their uncles, and the ranked members talk to me out of pity<b>. </b>I know on some level that it is not true, but I can’t turn my thinking around in a few days.
“Well, we have a few minutes before the meeting.” Vickie <bughs as </b>she pulls a bug out of her purse. “Out boys while I get our Luna

“You knew this is our office, right?” Mark asks with an eyebrow raised.
“Yep, now out so I can apply some makeup to her face <b>and </b>fix her hair. Unfortunately, I did not bring any clothes with me,” she mutters to herself.

“Perfect,” Vickie shouts. She starts to drag me out of the chair.
“Slow down, her leg is still hurt,” Cal then growls.

<b>Cal </b>rolls <b>his </b>eyes and picks me up. <b>Mark </b>lets out augh and <b>picks </b>up Rose. We are <b>carried </b>out of <b>the </b><b>office </b>and up a flight of stairs. He leads us to a room. Vickie opens the door for all of us. We are both set on the bed. I take in a deep breath through my nose. The scents are very old and faint. No one reallyes into this room.
Mark <b>opens </b>the closet door and then states, “After mom died, dad hated being in their room. It reminded him to much of what he
lost.”
“<b>Okay</b>, boys,” Vickie says <b>as </b>she starts to push Mark out of <b>the </b>room. “Out, we have less than fifteen minutes the <b>pack</b>. I will link when <b>we </b>are ready. Amglie will <b>make </b><b>a </b>grand entrance and everyone will <b>love </b>her.
