Oh Good 276

“No. Nothing would stand in my way. But if either one of you gets injured, there will be hell to pay,” he says, growling thest part.

I turn back to Alpha Christina. “When do you want to do this?”

“No time like the present. We nned on interviewing him anyway. Let’s do it.”

“Mind link me if you need anything at all. I’ll have a guard standing right outside the door,” Christian says as we make our way to the cells.

“What about Corey?” Shane asks him.

“He stays in the cells. He might be yelling but just ignore him. If anyone is the ringleader, it’s Dorian.”

Before we enter the cells, Alpha Sebastian murmurs to Alpha Christina. Christian quietly speaks to the guards, letting them know what we’re doing. They look at/Shane and I, obviously feeling that this way above our skill level. If they think so, then Dorian definitely will.

“What’s going on?” Sebastiana asks, walking up.

“We’re going to confront a prisoner,” I tell her.

“Ohh, can Ie?” she asks excitedly.

“No,” her mother, father, and brother all say simultaneously.

    “Spoilsports,” she grumbles.

She steps over to Shane and quickly presses a kiss to his lips. “For luck,” she says, as if kissing my brother isn’t something new.

“Not helpful, Sebastiana,” Alpha Sebastian grumbles. “He needs to focus.”

“And now, he’ll focus on getting out of there alive,” she says, grinning like she’s just solved all our problems. I really need some of her confidence.

“The moment you need me, mind link me. I’m keeping the link open between all three of you. If something were to happen to you … Christian says softly near my ear, his words cutting off at the end. “Just be careful.”

I nod, turning my head to look at him. “I will.”

He, Alpha Sebastian, and Sebastiana all step back and I follow the guard, Alpha Christina, and Shane down the stairs to the cells. It smells terrible down here, like stale sweat, food that’s been reheated too many times, and fear.

“Choose your room, Alphas I’ll bring him to you,” the guard says.

Alpha Christina turns left, looking in the rooms until she finds the one she wants.

“This is the one Christian chose too,” Shane says.

“It’s perfect for interrogation. Not too big, not too small,” she says, pulling a chair to the table then walking around to sit across from the empty chair, facing the door.

“Do you want us to sit?” I ask her.

“No. Take positions on either side of me as if you’re here for

protection. Let me lead but if you catch him in a lic, confront him Don’t waiver, don’t let him make you second guess yourself. We know he’s wrong. Now we catch him in his lies.”

She sets a recording device on the table just as the guard brings Dorian into the room.

“What the fuck is this? I’ve been rotting down here for days and now,

and who rather than getting the acting Alpha, I get two Alpha pups the fuck are you?” he asks, looking at Alpha Christina.

“I’m Alpha Christina Webb, Christian’s mother.” She’s sitting forward in the seat with her hands sped in front of her. She looks rxed and confident.

Heughs, rolling his eyes while pulling out the chair and slouching in it. “Great. Our ‘acting Alpha‘ sent his mommy to interview me. Well, let’s get his done, sweetheart. I’d like to bathe in a real shower tonight.”

She gives him a tolerant smile.

“Fine, why don’t we start with why this pack was attacked,” she begins.

He crosses his arms, giving her a sneer. “How the fuck would I know?”
